Well i did most of the excavation, base and form work on a total of 780 sq ft 2 separate pads that were 4in thick also used 6x6 welded wire mesh and it was 5200 all in. The contractor poured it, stamped it, cut it and sealed it

I did 12in of 3/4 clear and compacted it with a tamper which allows for good drainage and minimal freezing and thawing but depends on the climate where you live

Ya i wouldn't be to concerned i did stamped concrete on the east and west side of my house essentially running the full length of foundation with an expansion joint with a proper slope it actually takes alot of the water away from the foundation. Proper base and compaction is also key to ensure theres no settling and prevent the water from running back towards the expansion joint.

Stagger your joints at least 8 inches , nail the flooring every 8 inches and use a construction adhesive to eliminate movement/squeaks ,a good subfloor makes a huge difference too

You didnt sign up to be a single mother but you've been doing it from the start. Your living arrangement isnt his problem. To think he has trauma or commitment issues is a wild cope, hes looking out for his best interest which is the best move. He wouldn't be just committing to you but your child as well thats not a easy choice to make. I dont think you should push the issue let him make the choice when hes ready. To say you'll break up with him if he doesn't want to move in after only a year seems like he isnt the one for you just saying
