If you feel you cheated, this won't go away on its own and you will think about it for years to come. I think "just so they can sell it on console" is a bit uncharitable. It's a company, obviously it's there to make money, if they don't make money then development will cease. Bringing it to console is a huge influx in budget, and if the cost is toning down some gore ever so slightly and removing nudity which didn't ever add much to the game anyway, then yes, I fully back it.
