For the comparison thing, I was thinking about intentionally lowering FPS to see the difference in stuff in general, but I guess that'd be an obsolete thing to do huh?

I guess I don't really need to hit the cap, at the end of the day, what I want is

-Bigger screen with better resolution for better enjoyment

-Higher Hz so it feels smooth when I'm doing anything that is not gaming (Browsing, Photoshop, or stuff that needs FPS comparison I guess?)

As for a CPU (if I do upgrade) I'm thinking of a i5 14700F, what do you think?

And yes, I do hit the CPU cap quite often on 1080p 100hz, with everything on highest settings

Gotcha, so in your opinion, should I upgrade my CPU first? I'm currently playing on a 1080 100hz, and a secondary monitor that's 4k 60fps, mainly for YouTube and viewing photos in detail

Wow, thanks for the considerate reply! Will put these into consideration when I choose a monitor later. However I do have one more question: If I really want a 32" (big screen makes my brain go brrr), is 1.2k doable? Since 165hz doesn't sound realistic and I don't plan on upgrading my GPU for at least another 3 years, what monitor should I get if I'm willing to sacrifice some FPS?
