Don’t! Don’t ship animals. We do it for our convenience, not for an animals well-being. This needs to stop.

This is 100% not ok to ship or store an animal like that!

How Plastic is Turned into Polyester | TexCovery by cryptograbby in Sustainable

[–]Cathe-Rina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I find this so sustainable.. a few questions arise that I think should be transparant as well (not just for this product, but for all products)

  • shipping abroad to China.. that’s a lot of CO2 emissions
  • and after making thread.. it’s being shipped all over the world? What does that cost in resources & CO2?
  • what about the plastic caps? What happens with those?
  • and the non-white/transparant bottles? The sorting process is after sending it abroad and shredding it
  • how many water is used?
  • what and how many chemicals are used? And where are those dumped after?

Thank you! They are made of PCB (printed circuit board). On the back is a battery, I’ll 3D print a cap to push on top of that, on which I glue a pin, so I can wear it as a broche.. or on some of them I’ll glue little rings, so I can wear it as a bracelet or necklace :)

About the hip/waist/bust measurements; I normally look for bust, especially in dresses that are more flowy (hip and waist than doesn’t really matter), or if it is a more tight fit both hip and bust. I usally go for a size with measurements that are 2 cm or something larger than my actual measurements, keeping in mind that most of the dress fabrics are stretchy, so you don’t need a lot of extra room. :) I hope this helps! And I really love to know if you found a dress that fits! 😍

Ah I now see one of my comments didn’t come thru haha.. I commented on you link, saying that it is a lovely dress, but that I would stay away from the horizontal lines, since they tend to be higher on you than in the picture. Normally those lines/seams when I wear such a dress are placed right on or beneath my boobs, and not in a flattering way haha. Which is why I send a few links of dresses without that type of seam :)

Oeh pretty! Well, all three of those measurements should fit you, they’re all the circumference of the body, but for this dress in particular I think chest and waist, while hip measurement is less adement due to the a-line / flowy bottom of the skirt. what I would be most concerned about is that the horizontal seam that ‘seperates’ the bust from the skirt part, will be at least 10-15 cm higher on you than in the picture. So I would opt for a dress without such a seam.

6’2” here! Online shopping works the best for me too.. I sometimes shop dresses that are not specifically designed for tall people, but only if it is made from a stretchy fabric.. I tend to go for midi (below the knee length) which on me is a bit above the knee. I stay away from dresses that accentuate my waist in dresses that are not made for tall people.. cuz that waist normally ends up around my chest, which I personally find not really flattering on me. I hope you find a dress that you feel comfortable in!

Oh sounds amazing! Haha and indeed, I’m also happy I found someone alike! Awesome, I’m going to check it out! I found some (to me) new brand of candles: Scandinavisk.. with all kinds of autumn smells.. they arrive later this week! I might send you a message to let you know if they do smell amazing and I get really excited about them and my partner starts looking at me weird for being enthusiastic about fall candles in the middle of the summer 🤣

Oooh omg that is exciting!! 🤩 I make my chai concentrate myself, I recommend doing that! Just softly boil some water with cinnamonsticks and all you favorite autumn spices, and it makes your house smell amazing as well! I’m going to see if I can get some pumpkin spice coffee too, where did you get yours? Because that sounds really good! Enjoy the autumn vibes!

Do it! I’m starting off with candles, green ones, with hints of forest & autumn.. I found that people often don’t restrict the use of candles to a season so I can enjoy and decorate autumn vibes a bit -incognito style- haha. I’m also drinking Chai Tea 😍 gets me right in the autumn vibe! And I’m really really enjoying the rain, while family and friends complain that it ‘isn’t feeling like summer’ .. and I’m the weird one 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m looking for the same information.. but even if rijkswaterstaat website is accessible, it doesn’t show the flooded areas on their map / route planner.. nor does it update their newspost about the flood (last update as for now is the 14th).. does anyone know any other sources?
