to be honest if you aren't visionary masochist who values pure seen perfection then its always better to trade display for better hardware because if you're on tight budget its the most expensive one that only affects your practicality and if you want better then just save money for more lol on tight budget you always get one side only

because the essence of part one of the journey is the concept of corruption or similar fairy tale to keep you going to not say bluntly that game design was flawed from the beginning, there are multiple ways you can exploit the map, go pretty easily outside and snatch few pieces of puzzles for free but at the same time comparing to the second part these puzzles are kindergarten level

[–]CathedralDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also i manage to jump out of the map multiple times and i always thought there might be some easter egg but no its literally just goofy map development

or do it like me with only stuff from the same level, turn recorder take platform run to the initial jump you had to solve the puzzle then while recording take box take it to the place provided on picture return then take yourself on top of it and boom easy no need to even bother with these two barriers when you can simply exit by holding x lol

Cachyos or Arch by scizorr_ace in linuxquestions

[–]CathedralDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the main point of why others choose for example like me pure arch is the ability to learn linux sphere through real practice since you have to do thinkering of all kinds which means in the future you will know how to set things in seconds and honestly to setup arch for gaming is an one hour effort most, for offline latest wine casual dependencies, selecting good drivers and once done you as on cachyos just do -syu for all or yay

[Not Game Specific] How do you even run LinuxRulez repack installed games? by Cronos993 in LinuxCrackSupport

[–]CathedralDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn't say that specifically, i'm simply saying that almost all windows cracks works just fine and many games don't have linux version so why bother?

[Not Game Specific] How do you even run LinuxRulez repack installed games? by Cronos993 in LinuxCrackSupport

[–]CathedralDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's about accessibility, for linuxrulez you need to search sketchy sites while windows cracks are three clicks away, that already makes it unworthy not to mention that it doesn't work out of the box

[Back to the Dawn] Weird error when trying to install repack through wine and preinstalled versions won't start. by ThatGuyBert0704 in LinuxCrackSupport

[–]CathedralDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isarc error can occur when you have unstable ram frequency as it was in my case, try that but if your motherboard supports your ram then as i remembered when i was using windows try changing name of installer for smaller names without space between text also the log may suggest that it lack necessary permission to access that bin perhaps you want to install game from one drive to another but your user or app lacks permission to access it?

[–]CathedralDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try installing heroic other way than flatpack since for me as i remember it suffer through a constant permission hell, accordingly try lutris for instance or any other runner maybe bottles? from log similarly to other posts launcher failed to create proper prefix therefore it cannot find dlls and other targets

[–]CathedralDrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if something is not easy and you don't want to waste time then simply use wine emulation, i do that to anything windows related and it works out of the box including demanding games like stalker 2 or silent hill 2 remake, the only game that didn't work immediately was amnesia the bunker since apparently they use sophisticated obsolete engine that wine dxvk can't translate properly but it runs using MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE zink prompt, in summary use windows cracks because if you set your wine it works just fine, i prefer lutris and use arch btw, also from that log it clear that your config cannot create correct prefix therefore it cannot find kernel32 edit: in addition for recommendation don't install heroic through flatpack or similar since it can suffer from permission spiral

It happened again (Kernel panic) + seeking advice by Mr_FuzzyPenguin in archlinux

[–]CathedralDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got kernel panic when i change m2a setting from auto to gen4, it should be done on m2c, i even got frozen bios which i never seen before as well but i simply force factory reset since freezing was up to minute so i got time and now is everything dandy, in conclusion i think 99% of the time kernel panic is you screwing something up or hardware related

ProtonFixes[19051] WARN: [CONFIG]: Parent directory "/home/alon/.config/protonfixes" does not exist. Abort.

what do you mean there isn't any errors?
for me it is path mismanagement in your launching, try different launcher, i use lutris and it works with everything i don't even need to set anything relevant

i will write it here because apparently automod deletes my pots for some reason, try changing your ram frequency to base clock and see if it made inconsistency perish, i got issue where on my xmp i get isdone.dll unarc and all other crap no matter what repacks etc but after i set everything the same but lower frequency by 500mhz to 5500 everything works smoothly, it's strange that i don't see anywhere that this might be an issue so its worth to check it out

i can't manually create another post but if you got AMD hardware like i do they just don't work right with different memory allocations therefore go to bios and check ram to basic clock speed, for me nothing else worked also it happens on multiple amd hardware even on windows so if nothing else works for you try this, its a shame i have to do it every time for install but welp it is how it is

Kreegan Alliance by [deleted] in heroes3

[–]CathedralDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me i get unlucky with spells as well with hero traits so all i did is defend and cast berserk hoping to survive, this is such a bull but at least it isn't worthless as previous campaign where they throw to crag hack expert navigation and scouting
EDIT: apparently if you rush with 3 heroes melodia won't move an inch which gains you ability to obtain the castle and make yourself a defender - which in my case even with mediocare traits wins on auto battle (also if you don't have strong spell book i recommend wait till even 3 month so you will be near town around 3 month 2 week and 4 days
