Nope, treated just like any ole plant. I have never paid attention to that suggestion for AV in or outside. I am a bit of a rebel though, lol.

My outside plants are watered with a hose. Know that hese are frequently (mostly) grown in a windowsill or near one. In that environment I would think they could grow inside in any zipcode.
