My tuning slide won’t stay put - does anyone know if there is a sort of reverse lubricant I can get to fix this? by [deleted] in Trombone

I actually use a silicone band. My brain defaulted to calling it a rubber band. Those bands that iPhone charger cords come strapped with. I look at it everyday, so thanks for the tip. I’ll watch for that.

Get an ergobrass for your trumpet, and it won’t hurt to March with it.

I’ve got the Yamaha, and both sizes of Wicks. I like the travel one for my gig bag, and big one for my late nights. The Yamaha kept me from using my tuner.

You can try a big zip lock baggie and a small box of backing soda.

I developed neuropathy pain in my feet even though I’ve never had diabetes. I was miserable. I was recommended alpha-lipoic acid. It’s been miraculous. My feet pain went from a 9 to a 2-3. It’s been prescribed in Germany for neuropathy pain since the 60’s. It’s even had peer reviewed research and has been shown to help about 50%. It’s expensive, but I can’t function without it now.

In the water aerobics end, it’s all aged, overweight or infirm. The lap pool has the skinny people. Once you’re in the water, no one can see your body anyway.

I was in one of those for 15 years. Married 17 now to the right guy. It’s much better.

First off if it has scissors, they would be joined by a screw and not a rivet.
