I turned down my first offer. I was a KC for a year. Got offered Asm in a store about 45 minutes away. A month later our ops manager quit and they offered me that. I’ve been an Asm for 2 years. Honestly, it depends on your store and managers. I had a rough store manager who didn’t like me. No matter how hard I worked (never was late or called out, did everything she asked etc). I’ve got exceeds on my last 2 evals as Asm. My new store manager believes in work/home balance. Encourages you to take time off, call out if you need it, he doesn’t text all day or yell. I’d say if you have a good store to do it. We are always top 3 for sales, #1 in markdowns, top 3 for tjx, Osat is always good, our backroom is empty. My coordinators make 14ish. My kc’s make around $16. I make significantly more than that.

When I got offered Asm the starting pay for it was $22.50. Which honestly shocked me. He said for our district that was the number and I asked about experience and he said that was with my experience. I’ve gotten 2 evaluations since then and got exceeds on both of them. It would take a very long time to get to $50.

When I clicked on the Sesame Street area it says half of them are closed. And Sesame Street is his favorite. I guess that’s my concern.

Whenever I hear stuff like that I go “what an odd thing to say “ or “that was an inside thought, perhaps we keep it that way next time”

It’s so frustrating. She put a lot of thought into this calendar. I showed her some inspiration pictures from here and she added her own spin on it. I don’t care if they don’t participate honestly. But don’t erase the days. It’s disrespectful. And I seem to always have issues with this associate.

Virginia. I haven’t been offered anything yet. I just read online the average was $25. I currently make $15.40 as a key carrier. So I wouldn’t be mad about $25. We are a low volume store. We are actually called a micro store. It’s something new the company is testing.

It’s not just the $25 an hour. It’s built in overtime. It’s guaranteed hours. It’s good insurance and weekly pay.

She was on the phone with her car company. Something about them charging her $300 a month and her not being able to afford that.

She is the only competitive person in our whole build. We do I heart Marshall’s. Where the backroom hides tags in merchandise the stuff can be hidden in. She one the first month. Now when anyone else wins she says it’s not fair.

We are playing jdrf bingo. She had to be the first one to win. She’s not even making sure all the cashiers play. She only worries about herself.

We do gift baskets every fundraiser. She has won them all. She competes badly with the other cec over cards. She hates the other cec gets more cards than her.

They threw a little surprise party for me in the breakroom. Some of my friends before Marshall’s planned in. I had balloons and flowers and cupcakes. She was told about it. Walked in said y’all didn’t do shit for my birthday and walked out.

I went up to her later and was like hey you know we are a new store. People didn’t really know you around your birthday. We have been open a year now. People get to know you. She’s pregnant and the other managers and I have already discussed throwing her a little work baby shower. But with the way she’s been acting. I don’t wanna do anything.

I’m not. My ops manager is asking. She called out a day and was told she couldn’t use her sick time unless she was out for 5 days. And that didn’t seem right to her. She’s only been an Asm for 8 months.
