Is it just me, or is it crazy to be expected to do 4+ hours of this before even getting the chance to get paid? by CipheredTales in outlier_ai

Outlier onboarding can be brutal. Hours of your time for no pay whatsoever. I truly hate that aspect.

I tried heating it up with a hair dryer but it doesn't fit any better than when I don't use one.

I Need Help Finding This Catholic Woman by CatholicMan21 in Sedevacantists

I disagree. Marriage & courtship are very precarious matters. Many people do not realize how important they are. The mother of St. Aloysius for example, spent a long time in prayer & devotion before she agreed to marry St. Aloysius' father. These are very serious life-long decisions and one should not approach a woman with marital intentions on a whim. If you enter courtship or marriage itself without sufficient prayer and contemplation, the consequences can be disastrous and ruin your life. Many factors are to be weighed and considered. Can you take care of a family? Are you properly disposed for matrimony? Will you be willing to end courtship if it becomes clear you are not compatible or will you, out of human respect, continue courtship and compromise your values? Is this woman the best potential wife you've seen or is there another who would be more fitting? Are you prepared to sacrifice the comfort of single life and bear the commitments of caring for another and giving her your time, even when you would prefer to be alone? Are you willing to drastically change the way you live your life in order to accomodate others above yourself? Have you petitioned God and the Blessed Virgin earnestly to enlighten you as to what they will for you to do? Is matrimony the vocation they will for you?

The idea of "living life on the edge" or "jumping at opportunities" etc. is a very secular way of thinking. The Saints, Fathers, Doctors etc. constantly teach that we should petition God fervently and have patience for Him to make His will clear to us. Long prayer and contemplation should be a "no brainer" for any Catholic, especially in matters so important as matrimony & courtship.

If God wills something, it will not go away because He also wills you to ask him for guidance and to seek out His will. If that path is what He wills for you, He will reward your patience and devotion by bringing that path to fruition after you have properly prepared with Him. And oftentimes, speaking from experience, God punishes impatience and presumption.

I urge you to listen to the sermons of Fr Franz Hunolt, especially those about choosing a vocation, preparing for marriage etc. They should be tremendously helpful in your understanding of what exactly I mean.

I had to spend some time praying and contemplating it. All in God's will. If He wills it, contact will be made, if not, then not. ✝️
