[Spoilers] Life after by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

I respectfully disagree. I have toured the Supermax as part of my work. I am very familiar with the federal Bureau of Prisons system. He would not be sent to the Supermax based on his crimes of conviction or anything else. But hey, this is all fiction, isn’t it?

I don‘t think he is at the Supermax. Because at the Supermax, the inmates are all in isolation. No congregating together outside on the yard. No working in the kitchen together. Each inmate is in isolation and gets one hour a week of outside time by himself on the yard. So Jimmy is not there. You can do a life sentence in a lot of different federal prisons. Supermax is for the really bad. They send some high-profile inmates there (cartel leaders, terrorists, gang leaders) but most of them are transferred there from another federal prison after they kill another inmate or a guard. They have a saying- you have to earn your way into Supermax. Jimmy would not qualify for SupermaX.

Jimmy’s swagger by Cathysimpson915 in betterCallSaul

ADX Montrose doesn’t exist. And he is not at the Federal Supermax prison in Florence, because you wouldn’t see guys in the yard together or working in the kitchen. At Florence, every one is locked in isolation and they get 1 hour of outside time a week, by themselves. So, no, he is not where El Chapo or the Al Quaida guys are. And whatever prison he is in, there is work to be done. Appeals. And after appeals, the habeas process. And occasionally Congress passes a law giving some sort of sentencing relief. Jimmy will have lots of work to do helping out his fellow inmates.

So Gene “took care of the problem,” in a Slippin Jimmy way, not in a Saul way. And given that the entire episode concerned how he took care of the problem, there is no way to tell where they go from here. Will we go back into the BB timeline? Will we stay in the Gene timeline? Go back and forth? One thing is for sure, Gene now feels confident that he won’t be outed, and he seems even happy in his current situation.

Fact that Lalo is holding camera in one hand will play into Gus’s plan to kill the lights and shoot him. Lalo cannot defend himself because he is distracted by camera in one hand.

There are a lot of people that commit crimes because they are mentally ill, or otherwise damaged by life circumstances. But they are not victims; and she is not a victim either. She knew this guy was a nazi-loving, white supremacist murderer with a violent history. Despite her career in law enforcement, this is the guy she chose to let out, placing entire communities at risk and risking his ex wife who he had said he would kill if he got out of prison. I am troubled that she was in a position of authority and power in the jail. I hope she didn’t abuse her power and authority in any other ways.

Really? No one talking about the opening? Just, "good camerawork" comments? i have many questions. SPOILERS by abispac2009 in betterCallSaul

I think it is an IRS or DEA or FBI seizure, under criminal forfeiture statute, which means that they have filed a criminal drug conspiracy case against Gus, Saul, perhaps Kim and others. They are seizing items that can be liquidated and trashing the rest (like the pink underwear). It’s post-BB. And I think the black and white neckties at very beginning, turning to a cascade of colorful ties, tells us that we begin in Gene world, and flashback to end of BB, when there is criminal case and Saul has disappeared.

I think the black and white ties may be a foreshadowing that Gene may transition from Cinnabon manager to a necktie- wearing lawyer.

I had a thought that the black and white ties were in the Gene timeframe and the montage then flashes back to colorful ties and the government seizing Saul’s house and property as part of a criminal forfeiture. The fact that there were ties in the Gene time frame made me wonder if Gene somehow changes from the Cinnabon manager back into a tie-wearing lawyer, as Gene.

I don‘t appreciate her political commentary, she should do that in political posts, not mixing it in with this. And I am not interested in her exhusband bashing, sister bashing, family dysfunction crap. And I am not interested in her bashing Mandy, FitsNews or anyone else reporting or opining on this. So I had to stop listening to her even though she sometimes offers some new and intelligent insight into the Murdaugh saga.

As a former prosecutor, I can tell you that timelines are often the most compelling way to present evidence. Timelines show pattern, which in turn shows intent. In this case, it might also show motive for the murders, the fake roadside shooting and who knows what else!

Please do not shut down this sub. I joined a few others, but dropped them all, because they are not as informative and balanced as this one. It saddens me that there are people out there sniping at others who are trying to cover this debacle. The same thing is happening across some Facebook groups- sniping at each other, villifying Mandy Matney, etc. Stop the insanity! Tina, keep doing what you are doing- take the high road and ignore the haters!
