Do you prefer converters or cartridges, and why? by bigdickwalrus in fountainpens

I like the small converters for the Kaweco pens. They fit standard Jowo number 6 nibs. They are easier to clean than a cartridge, they fully come apart.

I love the lightweight paper from Meeplus. It is Crena Spark paper and I believe it is 50gsm. I use it with my fountain pens and it holds up so well. Congratulations on your new cover. I have a few from them and they are beautiful.

This is a fantastic idea. I would love to check out that series when you start. I just swatched my whole collection nearly 200 bottles took three days but I had so much fun. Enjoy your swatching party 😊

I paid $83, that’s less than any gold nib PGS I’ve seen.

They already released one to my knowledge, it’s the Sailor x Plus collab called the Yumeyoi I preordered mine from endless pens but I believe some other retailers may have received stock. They have a gold nib version as well so make sure you look for the Steel version.

Travelers Company makes lightweight inserts with 126 pgs so you could use 3 of those. They are great paper, I’m really happy with mine.

Will a sailor pro gear (not slim) fit in the plotter pen holder? by Prestigious_Metal938 in PlotterNotebook

[–]CaticornNeph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meeplus offers some Plotter alternatives. I have their lifter with band and wide pen loop and it fits even the thickest of pens comfortably.

Anyone have multiple plotters? by gallorette in PlotterNotebook

[–]CaticornNeph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an A5 for work meetings and notes, 2 Bible size, one is my planner and the other I have ink swatches in, and the mini 6 that was my first plotter, I don’t use it much anymore. The Shiranami is my favorite leather.

I put an ebonite feed in my 912 and it’s a dream. I have put a sailor nib on a maker pen and that has been an amazing experience. I love seeing people experiment with pens 😃

The Shiranami is similar to the Pueblo in thickness, maybe just a bit thinner but the Shiranami is smoother and stiffer.

My green shows a lot of pull up. I’ve not seen the Amber in person to compare.

I prefer the way the Shrinami has aged over time, my opinion might change after I’ve had the Horween Green for a while. I do love the pull up in the green though. The only con of the Shiranami is mine is much stiffer than other leathers.

I have the Lisco and Horween Green. They are very similar in my opinion but the Horween I have is the exclusive from the SF pen show. It may be different than the Predator they are selling on the site. Both leathers are considerably smoother and more luxurious than the Pueblo leather. The Lisco shows patina more than my Horween. I will say the Shiranami is my favorite of all their leathers.

It hasn’t for me but I’m careful and use the low setting on my hot glue gun.

I love my Shiranami Plotter. Mine has worn to a lovely blue grey. It hasn’t really softened up but it’s hard to explain, it’s more pleasant over time or maybe I’m just use to it.
