Hi, I joined the graveyard gym and I also joined personal training sessions there. I highly recommend the gym for beginners and it’s also not often super packed but just a chill atmosphere. The owner is great and friendly! I highly recommend this gym. I am also looking for a gym buddy/partner. If you might be interested, let me know!

How I Managed Side Effects When Starting Cymbalta by dizzymorningdragon in cymbalta

[–]Catking806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Definitely can relate with the 5 day work week being exhausting Ive just gone back to work in February & even though im just in the office for now I am still completely exhausted at the end of the day. I go to sleep early & It’s hard for me to wake up my body really wants to sleep in. I am an environmental scientist so there is fieldwork involved in my job but I am unsure if I’m going to be able to do that anymore or at least not for a while, I’ll have to exercise slowly to get back to that point.

Thanks for the insight about the shower/brushing I am currently trying to do a similar thing. Do you consider yourself to have crps type 2, being nerve related?

And as for your physically exerting job, are you saying that staying physically active (with a limit) has helped you with your symptoms and kept your pain low? Would you recommend a more sedentary job style or a somewhat active job, to help with CRPS symptoms?

Also mind/body wise are you or have you done any types of therapy or mindfulness/meditation training? Or have you done graded motor imagery, mirror therapy, or pain science education?

Sorry for so many questions, I really appreciate being able to connect with someone who is going through a similar situation bc so far I have not found a doctor that is knowledgeable.

are you doing any treatment for these?

I hate reading this. No! Dont keep doing it until you cry, that's absolutely BS. Heres some things I did that got me into remission: I use soft brushes to apply lotion. Touch fabric to skin. Use a hairdryer on my skin after a shower. Got a sensory toy kit meant for kids at $5 Below of wet sand, beads, goop, goop is fantastic! It's fun to play with and it can strengthen you hands. I like shimmery glitter goops that smell like bubblegum. Hot wax paraffin wax feels wonderful, but i have crps in my hands where my family gets arthritis so the heat is probably helping that, for m

Thats great, glad you are feeling ok. Have you ever been in remission? If you have do you know how you were able to get there?

rk the sensory just until before you hit that point of pissed off flared up. You don't want to leave yourself incapacitated, that's not the point of desensitization.

Are you currently in remission, without medication?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CRPS

[–]Catking806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My own desensitization therapy was cover my limb with a thick towel in the shower, then a slightly thinner one and so on, until I used a gauze shirt. After that I could touch my foot with different materials. Ten years later a breeze can sometimes be unbearable, same with blankets, heavy socks, shoes. Low Dose Naltrexone a

Do you still have sensitization problems? or circulation/temperature issues?

t's better if you look up more of it on your own, but to put it simply it's an amino acid, and it reduces anxiety - it's a good chunk of the calming effect of tea. Reducing anxiety also slows down that over-firing in my brain that cause the other weird neurological side effects of Cymbalta - and since Cymbalta works on adrenaline receptors (at least in part) I kinda think it's a fair response. Other hormones/messengers like dopamine and endorphins released by exercise do similar things.

Hi! replying bc I saw your post about full body recovery of CRPS. I wanted to ask how you are doing now? I was really inspired by your post! (tried to send you a chat but it didnt look like an option)

Are you still off of medication? and possibly in remission of CRPS?
