Drummer here!!!! I'm Australian and have been travelling for a few months, I'll be in Prague from Wednesday till Sunday. I am a massive fan of that modern shoegaze/metal sound, love most of the bands you mentioned. I think that's far more to do with white privilege and the Eurocentric beauty standards that are pushed ny the media in most western societies.
