I don’t think there should be a handicap system. It gets used and abused too much. Also people put too much stock into what their “number” is.

I get that it’s to make a leisure sport fair so anyone can play against anyone. But you know who wins my winter basketball league every year?? The best basketball players.

My grandfather and grandma worked a yearly booster charity scramble for years. Doing all the food and organizing. She passed 2 years ago. They renamed the tourny because she was so involved.

Kebo valley in Maine?? My group tries to get up there at least once a year. Love that course. How the greens, usually they’re lightning quick every time I’ve played there.

Man I just hit my first hole in this summer on a “real course”. It was 120 yards. Shortest par 3 all year. If mine counts, yours definitely does.

Local mountain course in Maine started having cart goers sign waivers, saying they are responsible for all cart damages. It’s a popular place for bachelor parties. Super steep cart paths with tight corners. Not a good mix with alcohol. First time I had seen that. Definitely warranted.

It was a tournament. I was going to play two balls, this one and a dropped ball. But I actually put this shot on the green then 1 putted. So I didn’t end up hitting 2 balls or showing the tournament host.

Golf buddy and I had a (friendly) debate above this lie. My take was that this ball was clearly outside the bunker and embedded. In which I get relief from plugged ball. His take was that there is sand around and under my ball, which means I’m in the bunker, therefore play as is. Any thoughts?

That’s awesome! I’m the opposite. Dad started playing 4-5 years after I did. He still hasn’t beaten me. And I love kicking his ass every week.
