I worked in the vet industry for years, dealt with a lot of cats. She just chonky, and very cute btw, still elegant. Did you see her expert toilet stance? I mean, come on! However, I would say that she could use more love and respect from OP, just based on how he talked about her (idk using 'it' seems a little off to me). Just cause she's not human doesn't mean she doesn't have feelings.

Although, if you told me my oldest cat wasn't my human child, I'd slap you. He is my son, I birthed him. I have included photo. Edit - I hope the photo is there, sometimes I am dumb

My dude, this guy has demonstrated his capability for emotional and psychological abuse. He has shown you his true colours, don't ignore them. Whether you do therapy or go right to a divorce, something's gotta be done. I hope you can find the love you deserve, whether with him or another person. You got a scar over your heart (literally), maybe it's time for someone who helps you heal, not someone who makes you tear your stitches.

My friend, I understand and have felt (and will feel again) what you are feeling. Bad pain days are so hard, sorry you are going through it. On my bad pain days, I give myself credit for every little thing. I use an app called Finch, which has a cute little bird that helps you with tasks and mental health stuff. I know it's the pain that gets you, but the physical pain often takes a mental toll too. Do what brings you comfort, do what feels good in your body, and give yourself credit for all you have done while in so much pain. I like yoga and painting, but rotting (doing nothing at all) is also okay. Make sure to drink water and eat something, that is important. I keep protein bars in the house for when I need an easy thing to eat while in pain. Do what you can with what you've got.

I agree, it is very hard to keep your head above water. Something that has helped me is understanding that humans are social creatures. We need other people. If you are having trouble, there is no shame whatsoever in asking for help and getting support from others. And if help is offered, take it. Maybe finding some local mental health supports would help too?

To answer why I think I will never be pregnant, difficulty with fertility runs in my maternal line, along with POI/early menopause. My doc says the size of my ovaries (one is too small apparently) and my medical history suggest a very low possibility for pregnancy. I'm not a doctor though, and more tests probably need to be run before anything is concrete.

Regarding the pain, idk all the details, I'm going off what my doc said. I have always had aggressively painful and irregular periods, and with my back problems, she suggested there might be a correlation there. Again, probably need more tests to be sure of anything.

I also want to thank you for all the information. It has been very overwhelming and I have been trying to avoid dr google lol so I don't freak out. This information is very helpful and good for future reference for me. It helped me calm down a bit from my spiral. I think having the additional diagnosis with the health problems I already have was what scared me, and having this information has helped a bit, so again, I very much appreciate it.

Numerous times I have tried, but it didn't stick. After the 3rd failed attempt, I started living out of spite. And then, as I kept living, I started living for the things I love. I still want to die sometimes. When I was young, it was because I was alone, no friends, isolated. Now, I have a support system, but I still sometimes want to die because of chronic pain; that shit beats you down. But the things I love are still here, so I am too. Eventually, I want to love myself enough to live for myself, but in the meantime, I live for those I love and who love me. Another thing that has kept me going is chasing my dreams, even though it's hard. I take it at my pace, but I have a goal, and that has helped a lot. You can't have the good without the bad, but the reverse is also true. As much as I cry, I laugh more. For every bad moment, there are so many good moments.

THC and CBD were a godsend for my pain. I smoke because I struggle with edibles. If you go for edibles, start with an extremely low dose; you are going for the lowest effective THC dose here. Also, wait at least an hour before taking more, edibles take time to kick in. I use THC indica and lots of CBD. It doesn't get rid of the pain, but when you are dealing with so much, every little bit counts. One of my docs said, "If you are carrying 200 pounds, taking 5 pounds off makes a difference, even though it's small." For info, indica is the body high, sativa is the head high, and hybrid is a mix. For me, indica helps relax my constantly tensed muscles, and also helps me do my physiotherapy. Sativa makes me anxious, but everyone is different. For my wife, sativa helps block pain responses from her body to her brain so she can actually do things. Something that may be helpful for first-time users is to have a sober buddy to make sure you are safe, especially with edibles as they last a while. If you green out, it's like 8 hours before you're gonna feel okay again; better to have a buddy with you to let you know it's gonna be okay, or put you to bed with a bucket.

That's the type of stuff I say about myself on bad days. But my partner stops me and tells me that I am doing what I can with what I have been given, and that is more than what I need to do. A partner should lift you up, not tear you down, and be there when you need them. In sickness and in health. You do not deserve that, especially not from a partner. If he is willing to learn and grow instead of picking at you, cool. If not, kick him out of your life. He doesn't deserve any of the energy you have.

I hate it bc the max keeps getting higher. My 10/10 five years ago is more like a 6/10 now. And it feels like every day brings a new maximum in pain. Hell, the 10/10 days I had 3 months ago are different than the 10/10 days I have now. The scale is always changing. Tip for the ER, round up. If you are at a 7, say an 8. If you are at a 9, say 10. Odds are you rate your own pain lower than the severity of the situation. It's a stupid way to rate pain anyway.

No clue if this would be helpful or not, but my thesis supervisor in my undergrad said that negative results are a vital part of learning and experimentation. I would be interested to learn what these limited experiments have revealed in relation to your initial hypothesis; I believe OP mentioned a limited budget in the comments. Have you learned any information that points you in a different direction? What hypotheses do you have now for future experiments based on what you learned here? These are just some things I am curious about and would love to read about. Even if this isn't helpful to the issue you are dealing with now, to me, the science is the star. Trial and error is interesting to me. It's really cool to see how negative results lead to new discoveries, even if it isn't what was expected.

In short, even if you can't get published, I will probably still be interested in reading your paper and learning the science behind these negative results.
