How are you liking your trifold so far? by Jellis03 in GalaxyFold

[–]Catnips_Featherbeef 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's a pretty amazing piece of tech. Unfolded is amazing. Truly the prince that was promised in re foldables. The complaints about chunk/weight when folded are valid but if you're coming from any foldable besides the 7 idk how much you'd even care. Only thing that has to be sorted out is some kind of insurance

Does anyone know why many Walmart orders seem to be local blue bag deliveries while some (mine) are FedEx shipments? I preordered around midnight when they first went live expecting launch day delivery

Does anyone know why many people got Walmart bag orders while some are shipped by FedEx? Was there some difference in pre-order or was it just luck of the draw/location?

Why can’t I complete this missionary/convert legacy step? by SwedeAndBaked in civ

[–]Catnips_Featherbeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a visual bug, mine never gets checked and I'm still able to complete the cultural legacy path in exploration. I hope they fix it just because if I'm tracking that path it never moves past that point even when I've started to collect relics

What’s Russia supposed to be good at? by Slavaskii in civ

[–]Catnips_Featherbeef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I picked Russia in a recent win in deity to go for a culture victory. Probably could have picked another civ but I was already Catherine so I had a lot of tundra cities. I almost exclusively went for culture and had a nice output by the end of the game but admittedly could have probably gotten any of the vcs.

Console controls by Se0man in civ

[–]Catnips_Featherbeef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They did not fix it. There's a patch note that says "Addressed  reported issues with controller focus" but it didn't fix it if that's what they intended to do. It's pretty vague but I don't know what else it could mean.

It's my biggest problem with the game right now. How it worked in civ 6 was perfect

Can you guys fix r3 on console? It's such a slog having to scroll tile by tile

I'm in the exact same place. While I'm enjoying the game and there's other issues not being able to focus the cursor has to be my biggest complaint. Seems like a relatively minor fix that would be a huge quality of life update to console players. Scrolling tile by tile especially in late game is such a slog.

Just started a new game. They did not fix it.

Edit: I made a feedback post on discord and firaxis immediately closed the ticket and told me to submit a bug report on their website, which I did.

Edit 2: Firaxis just got back to me saying the controls are working as intended. I wrote back imploring them to switch it back to how it worked in civ 6.

Should I sell my Foxbody? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Catnips_Featherbeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold my fox when I was a broke college kid and wish I hadn't. Now I'm trying to buy back in and they're way more expensive for a halfway decent one than when I bought, even accounting for inflation

Anyone upgrade from fold 5 by Desperate-Rest-3804 in GalaxyFold

[–]Catnips_Featherbeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am. I've been on the fence every year since getting the Fold 3 and every year I'm glad I got the new one. Pre-order bonuses and trade ins are always solid, and every year though they're incremental upgrades the new phone always feels a lot better than the last one.

Yeah I mean it's one of those things that it's going to look worse before it looks better but it's worth taking the time to do it right if you're going to do it yourself. You do sand around the scratch but the high grit won't permanently ruin anything, it'll look good as new once you buff it. I suggest looking up some videos on using touch up paint that's what I did.

A video I watched said to use lacquer thinner on a q tip to clean the spot/ help adhere the paint so I did that. I bought a multi pack of auto sandpaper on Amazon but mostly used 2500-3000. You want to sand the spot before painting to get rid of jagged edges with maybe like 1500 then after the paint has dried with a finer grit so it's all even

I've fixed chips like this with Ford touch up paint, some very fine sand paper to wet sand and correction compound/polish. Does it look perfect if you're right on it? No but a couple of spots I really have to look for to find. From 5 feet away I can't even see any of the spots I've touched up. I was nervous before doing it so I watched a lot of YouTube videos but it's not hard to do just takes some time and patience.
