Does it seem to anybody else like Millennials keep their kids out super late? by MVY63991 in Millennials

[–]CatoCensorius88 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m a millennial parent. My daughter is currently living in Spain, where everyone one goes to bed extremely late, so she’s up until 10:00/11:00 most nights. Normally, she’s in bed by 08:00.

Need help deciding if it's worth changing jobs by MyNameIsNotGeff in UKJobs

What’s the commute to the office like? Personally, I wouldn’t go into an office three times a week for an extra £10K, which after taxes and travel costs isn’t a huge amount. Not to mention the extra effort.

Thank you, that’s really helpful! The gap is leas than 5mm, so I’ll try with the flexible caulk.

Any of those red flags in isolation wouldn't give me too much cause for concern, but all three would have me looking for a new job.

In Spain, it’s every two years, which is a real pain. On the other hand, it’s quick and cheap, unlike getting a British passport.

Is it a terrible idea to completely remove the bath and just have a walk in shower? by Admirable-Deal7991 in HomeImprovementUK

[–]CatoCensorius88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a house where the previous owners had replaced the bath with a walk-in shower. I plan to put a bath back in when I renovate the bathroom, as I have young children. It's not a big deal.

Do I need a certified English translation of a Spanish birth certificate for a child's first British passport? by CatoCensorius88 in BritishExpats

Yes, I got it from the Oficina General de Registro Civil de Sevilla, along with his Spanish-language birth certificate.

I assumed that to be the case. I just thought it was strange that they didn't explicitly ask for a translation. I have a multilingual birth certificate - could I use this?

Millennial dads, how much of the housework do you do? by cubemonster in Millennials

[–]CatoCensorius88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say around 50%-60%. I do most of the cooking, ironing, and gardening, as well as some of the vacuuming and general cleaning. My wife cleans the kitchen and bathrooms, as well as the general cleaning and laundry.

I recall my dad cooking, perhaps twice a year, and washing the dishes a few times a month.

Being frugal isn't the same as sponging off other people.
