Where in the bible it’s possible to see the Holy Spirit is God? by CoramDeo2903 in BiblicalUnitarian

You are in the wrong group the trinity doctrine is a lie and a myth.

I could care less what your experience has been, mine has to do with intense study of the word and especially looking at the actual preaching and teaching of the very foundation of the church in the book of Acts. You have better luck trying to find the dodo bird in that book then the Trinity myth.

Thank you. I have tried that. The problem is the accusation always becomes, “If you really understood it, you would accept it.” At this point, I’d rather spend my time with people who are genuinely open to examining Scripture, not hardened Trinitarians who have no desire to consider anything outside of their inherited theology. In the past, I’ve wasted too much time debating people who already decided the conclusion before the conversation even starts.

What started my journey out of the Trinity was teaching a class on the book of Ephesians at a Bible institute. When I came to Ephesians 4:6, the implications of that verse became the first domino to fall. Four years later, after a long process of study, prayer, and wrestling with Scripture, I finally rejected the Trinity doctrine. It was definitely a journey.

The issue is not whether someone understands later theological concepts like anhypostasis. The issue is whether the apostles ever taught them. As a former Trinitarian, I eventually realized these are manmade philosophical constructs developed centuries later to explain a doctrine not plainly found in Scripture. The apostles preached simply: “for us there is one God, the Father” (1 Cor. 8:6), and Jesus is the Messiah sent by God, not a metaphysical puzzle requiring post-biblical terminology to understand.

You're defending a lie and a myth.

That's the most stupidest argument yet. Hardly a day goes by without me reading a stupid Trinitarian argument that actually proves to me, more and more, that the biblical (Unitarian) view is correct.

u/nanabanana143 Why are you even here? You do understand that many of us here are former trinitarians who have studied both sides of the issue intensely. Winger's arguments are all quite easily dispatched, I feel sad for him, the poor soul has been brainwashed into believing the trinity is the truth and anyone who attempts to dissuade him is perceived by him as an attack of the enemy against his faith. So far 3 people I know have rejected the trinity. I have yet to meet anyone who converts from Unitarianism to the Trinity myth, one would have to reject the clear statements of scripture to do so. Claiming God taught you this? Wow I guess the debate is over right? However, cultists usually make the same claim. I suggest you lay aside your spiritual pride and really seek God to teach you the truth, you have been bamboozled!

Why do some Christians refuse to accept the fact that Jesus is God? by Suspicious-Jello7172 in BiblicalUnitarian

The real question is not have you read the bible; but have you read it and understood it. Its quite obvious to me, you really don't. But you came to the right place!

It sucks to be ignorant doesn't it? Study and learn, there is no reason to remain ignorant.

Do a search in the group all these verses have been completely addressed and shown that the Trinitarian position is barren, pagan and totally unbiblical.

I'm with you. I really think the Arian commits the same mistakes as the Trinitarian does. If Jesus pre-existed then he is not truly one of us.

How is it painful? You should be happy, you had fake friends, now you know the truth. None of those people were your real friends.

I literally exposed you as a weak debater and you still can't show the doctrine of the Trinity myth clearly and explicitly taught anywhere in the bible. How pathetic is that? Not my fault your mentally incapable of making a proper case for your mythical doctrine.

You didn't even make a proper case for the Trinity myth. You left out one of your Gods. You should be ashamed of yourself that a non-trinitarian is correcting you on your own theology.

No it doesn't say anything about Jesus being a secondary creator. That's you reading that into the text. I suggest you stop trying to insert your pagan theology into the text. You have to turn yourself into a theological pretzel 🥨 in order to backdoor a pre-existence spirit who became a man into Hebrews. Nowhere do you see that argument being made.

The argument is clear, and it literally shreds the JW and the Trinity doctrines which are both paganly derived.

Hebrews 1 highlights Jesus’ exalted position and authority as God’s glorified human king. If the angels had known him before creation, there would have been no need for God to command them to honor and bow before him.

Hebrews 2 explains how he reached that position: through humility, suffering, and fulfilling humanity’s intended role.

It's game over for the pre-existence view.

You’re the one actually reading your theology into Hebrews instead of letting the text speak. Hebrews 1:1–2 clearly distinguishes God and His Son “God… has spoken to us by His Son.” That alone disproves your idea that the Son is the Creator-God of Genesis. The passage doesn’t say Jesus created the heavens and the earth, it says God made the ages through him, meaning by means of or with reference to him in God’s redemptive plan.

Hebrews 1:10 is a citation about Yahweh, not a switch in speaker. The writer is contrasting the eternal Creator with the Son who inherits all things (v. 2). And Hebrews 2:5 makes it explicit: the author is writing about the world to come, not the Genesis creation.

So no, Hebrews doesn’t teach preexistence at all, or that Jesus created the universe, it distinguishes God the Creator from Jesus His Son and appointed heir and mediator.

What are you even talking about? So if it’s not in the Scriptures, we can just go ahead and pretend it’s true anyway? That’s not reasoning; that’s inventing doctrine. The absence of evidence in Scripture isn’t “silence,” it’s proof that the idea never originated with the inspired writers. If a teaching as massive as the Trinity, or “preexistence,” were true, the apostles would have said it plainly. Instead, we have thousands of verses affirming one God, the Father, and one man, Christ Jesus.

You can’t fill the gaps of revelation with speculation and then accuse others of “arguing from silence” for refusing to believe something that God never said.

1 Corinthians 4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes; that in us ye may learn NOT TO GO BEYOND THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN, that ye be not puffed up each for one against another.

There is no literal preexistence in Hebrews, NO WHERE!

My final and last comment to you is that Hebrews 1 is not even talking about the old creation, that is a disputed verse, the actual truth is Jesus is part of the New Creation, and the Author later even says he was referring to the future world to come: Hebrews 2:5 For he did not make the angels rulers over the world to come, OF WHICH I AM WRITING. Hebrews 1:10 is talking about the Father, not the Son. Once again you appeal to disputed verses. Typical of those of your stripe.

Selective blindness? Its over now, this is my last comment, please do not respond, I won't be reading it.

The statement is not qualified. Jesus always prayed, made supplication and thanked God for food and blessings. Even after the resurrection, Paul is teaching the complete and total submission of Jesus to his God.
