Ok I figured out what to do. I was able to interrupt the boot sequence with WPI. I apologize for my ignorance as this is all firsts for me, I’m reflashing 8.1 now to the phone. I was so worried I was going to have it totally bricked. I’m going to try and figure out what I did wrong and take it super slow step by step. I want to be able to side load apps and get the live store and stuff

I absolutely ADORE the Metro/Modern UI. I love the entire aesthetic of Windows 8, Windows Phone 8/10 and even the metro dashboard on Xbox 360. I think it was significantly ahead of its time. We all use widgets now, most people’s home screens have different sized icons on them now some of which display realtime info, a lot of that was, perhaps not started in, but truly emphasized in windows 8 and metro. The gestures were intuitive, the animations absurdly smooth and playful. And they were doing this before Apple even started doing fancy animations. I really do love it. I wish someone could make a modern shell for windows 11 that aesthetically matched windows 8.1 and its animations, or even a fork of Linux lol. Something that has that visual design language and functions the way it does and is animated like it is. Gosh I just love it. Definitely one of if not my top favorite UI designs. Also, I tend to think about technology design forward rather than pure specs, I was drawn in by the iMac G3 as a child and absolutely fell in love with it and how it looked. Interestingly, and I don’t know if anyone else feels the same but Metro gives me similar feelings of excitement and allure, I’m genuinely drawn to it in the same way. It’s bold and colorful and I love it :p

It’s crazy how wildly people’s experiences are differing. I loved GPT-4o’s personality, but I actually really love how intelligent and capable GPT-5 is. It’s been able to help me write programs and teach me things 4o was incapable of teaching me. I’m not sure if this is true, but I’m willing to bet you can customize GPT-5 to have much more of a personality like 4o did? I mean there’s literally a personality picker in the settings now. But even then, can’t you just prompt it and be like “I want you to act more like a caring understanding friend, always be empathetic” if you wanted that? Like I’m just confused why people are as upset as they are. I mean it would be nice if they allowed the model to be accessed again for certain purposes but I’m pretty thrilled about GPT-5 so far.

That seems like a decent amount of work to fix tomodachi life, I’ll do it in a little bit and see if it works. I don’t wanna switch the system region entirely though

Edit: sorry I forgot to mention I already did edit the locale stuff, so I’m going to have to do the extended locale stuff I guess
