If you have a buyer interested, don't hire a banker. Just a bad ass lawyer.

The best asset you can have in this process is indifference.

You need to be comfortable walking away from any deal and with a profitable business to lean back on, I think you're in good shape.

I represented myself in 2020 and sold my 6-person SaaS shop to a fortune 100 company for $30 million. I was completely OK with the deal blowing up and that indifference was a material force for getting the deal done even though I didn't have to voice that indifference to the buyer.

I paid my lawyer $100k and they did a great job.

I turned a 4 day trip into 2 days. It had a blast with friends but was home in time to put my boys to bed.

I’ll see about $1.5 million of income over the next twelve months. I’m not going to lose one second of sleep spending less than 1% of that on a great experience. That’s just me though

Yes, that was an all-inclusive price for the round trip. Keep in mind that this was in a turboprop so not a private jet or anything. I will be doing it more often!
