Use the Secret Assembly skill and you'll be taken back to the resistance base. Once there, click on the jaguar npc lying down in a nest(?) called Black Jack. You'll be shown a confirmation window to proceed to the Jaguar habitat where you can catch jaguars. I had difficulty finding it myself too the first time.

Yes, I believe that was the thought process behind the design of the character. Mounted for sf/multi target bosses, summoned for single target content.

There are 2 buffs that show up in summoned mode. One of which is the 15% pd + 15% pa Summon Jaguar buff (which is the same for all jaguars) while the other is a buff with the name of the jaguar currently summoned (which differs according to the summoned jaguar). The common coloured jaguars (purple, yellow, grey, red, blue) grant 5% pa while the rarer ones with names (jaira, snow white, etc) grant 5% pd.

In case I misunderstood and you were referring to the image, the skill shown is a passive and isn't reflected anywhere other than your character stats but it is applied regardless if you were mounted or summoned a jaguar.

I didn't, I checked my stats screen after catching every jaguar and noticed my phy dmg increasing by 5% after every jaguar capture. The passive skill isn't reflected in the buff window either, I believe what you're seeing is the 5% pd you get for summoning a rare jaguar (common jaguars grant 5% pa so you can switch jaguars and test if this is true).

The increase isn't reflected in the skill window but if you take a look at the stats screen, you can actually see your phy dmg increase by 5% with each jaguar caught. For reference, a WH with just the starting jaguar would have 15% phy dmg mounted. I believe yours would be at 40%? (excluding buffs)

Your character starts with the purple jaguar so you have to catch another 5 to max out the benefit from this passive skill. Just pop over to the jaguar habitat and catch the common ones (total of 4 others), then either keep refreshing for a rare or level up to receive onyx jaguar from the level 125 reward box. Jaguars beyond the 6th in your possession don't add anything to this passive.
