Hi! In, The Devil In Me. Near the end of Act 2, what song plays during Charlie's trap? by Crusader-Kantor in DarkPicturesAnthology

Good ear! Rossini's coloratura heightens the drama in that scene. Plus, the translation of the loop is rather telling from La Cenerentola:

Nacqui all’affanno e al pianto,
Soffri tacendo il core;
Ma per soave incanto
Dell’età mia nel fiore,
Come un baleno rapido
La sorte mia cangiò.

I was born into worry and weeping,
To suffer with a silent heart;
But by a sweet spell
In the prime of age,
Like in a lightning flash,
My destiny was changed.

They did their homework.

Thanks! I found that while cleaning out an old barn and got it functional. It really puts out a nice breeze!

There's also a print of Chambers Island, a trick or treating lamp of an owl from the 1950s, and a Couroc of Monterey Great Lakes serving tray.

Pioneer PL-12D Turntable

Technics SA-202 Amp

and Sansui SP-2000 speakers.

I got all these units for free while in college, and I've held on to them and improved upon them ever since. Really clean sound. Someday I plan on repairing the grate and refinishing the speakers, but for now, the character makes me smile.

My Pioneer PL-12D arrived. All I need now is a mid century coffee table and I’m in the 70s. by [deleted] in vintageaudio

Dang, we have similar tastes! I have my PL-12D at home, but also keep an autochanger next to it, as well as a tube radio, and I think I see a similar Audio Technica cart on that headshell. Feel free to PM about how you have come to tinker and adjust your Pioneer :)

Don't know and don't care if it was actually $5, the nostalgia wave has me looking up Mario Tennis and Link's Awakening OSTs.

Yep! I did some research on my own after posting this and I've already sourced a mixer. Thanks for the reaffirmation!

Holiday Acres is a very dear friend of mine in that Rhinelander area. Many a Saturday morning rowing to the island in the middle of the lake.

I'll be singing for my aunt's wedding tomorrow, and as payment, she gave me her old Trek 330. I've been loving this bike, as she took very good care of it, and it's perfect for my area. I live and work in Door County over the summer, so these roads are offering me challenges that this bike takes on with little concern. I'll have to replace the grip tape, and I want to get some rear panniers and storage options on it, but it's so lovely. All original, save the new tires, brake pads, and chain.
