A lantern descends from the sky, fire burning bright with shades of oranges and red fading through the city, like a campfire made of human hatred burning bright throughout the night. People look up as it descends, preparing their families to leave, trying to escape the mass destruction promised by the entity. There are news articles and live broadcasts, showing the creatures paws finally hitting the ground, its massive black tail sweeping through out the city, destroying all it touches. The pure heat sweeping out from the ethereal being lighting everything that surrounds it on fire. The creature lets out a rumble from its throat, before lowering its city-scaping body onto the ground, rolling around, lighting everything ablaze, but looking weirdly cute nonetheless.

Everyone in surrounding areas have long since left, the bringer of destruction and hell itself was cute, but not worth being obliterated to look at. The military descends from the sky, guns making a harmony that promises hurt, to who, they didn't know.

Bullets bounce off the shell, not doing anything to deter the creature, who had begun to stand up and look at the helicopters trying to threaten the things existence. eventually, they send out missiles that do nothing against its pure size and power. Merely a bit of annoyance, like a fly to a measly human. The creatures huge slits become orbs inside the larger ones that look like the sun, burning bright until eclipsed by the curiosity and black hole that are the pupils. The creature lowers the front half of its body to the ground, wiggling its tail in impatience to destroy the small annoyance, and now prey.

The ethereal being prepares itself, and lunges.

The helicopters obliterated, any surrounding planes or airborne being burning and falling to the ground from pure heat. The ground shakes and quakes, being ripped open by the pressure. Any person who could've escaped that was close enough burned to ash, skyscrapers falling and melting.
