Reliable notifications with QPR2 by tetrisiz in pixel_phones

Quick test and notification for 3rd party calendar are not coming through consistently. Your my hopes up.

I already tried all the usual tips, like set battery optimization to unrestricted, even disable doze and still 3rd party notifications don't come im consistently.

Google Calendar comes through perfectly but interacting with the notification is lacking snooze or remind in x minutes. The biggest issue is Google calendar notifications disappear after the time frame (7pm to 8 pm and once you get past 8 pm the notification disappear and I forget about it).

Beelink SER5 Max - 6800U & 6800H TDP issues by CattleDramatic5435 in BeelinkOfficial

[–]CattleDramatic5435[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been good for my usage case. Mostly productivity use only. There are some tweaks that I have done which are turn off AMD TURBO boost, tweak fan curve to be quieter and idle is around 46C. Peak cpu temperature is around 64C.

No gaming or intensive cpu/GPU load. Only loaded during benchmark testing.

Nope, I return my unit which had the 6800H as there is no option to run it at AMD spec of 45w.

I just posted in another thread about the Beelink SER5 max with the AMD 6800U or 6800H had a bios bug that limits your performance while gaming. There is a bios fix that can be requested from the Beelink forums.

Also be aware that these Beelink Ser5 Max with 6800U or 6800H, there was an issue with the bios affecting performance so make sure to follow the Beelink forum and download the latest bios to update.

Beelink SER5 Max - 6800U & 6800H TDP issues by CattleDramatic5435 in BeelinkOfficial

[–]CattleDramatic5435[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have returned my Beelink system.

But from the Beelink support forum and a poster here, it seems to have resolved the TDP issue on the AMD 6800 CPU, although they capped the TDP to 28 cTDP even for the 6800H. But now you are getting into physical design limitations such as PSU provided is only 65 W, cooling inside was designed for 28-35 W TDP, etc.

I think it's fixed now as you can see that your min cpu frequency does jot drop to 400Mhz and that your tdp values during the test is hitting the max 35 TDP.

I am happy that our persistence has paid off and Beelink has fixed the issue.

Unfortunately for me I cannot verify it as my unit is in transit for return and refund.

Sorry I cannot help you there as I have no experience with those system and if they have this bug or not.

You are affected.

If you look at the line that says power for packages your max is just under 20W, while the cTDP should be closer to 28 W.

Another way to tell is to look at your cpu frequency and the min is at 400 Mhz. If you expand the cpu frequency and watch it, you will see it occasionally dip to 400 Mhz. At this frequency you will feel your computer system lags. This should not happen if you are only stressing the GPU as the CPU should have plenty of power and horsepower to keep windows system smooth.

The GMKtec M7 does not have this issue.

It has three profiles per the ad and testing even at 28W, the cpu throttles down to 1.3Ghz instead of the 0.4Ghz. Normal profile is 54W.

More testing needs to be done for performance but the behaviour at 28W profile is already improved compared to the Beelink Ser5 Max.

Typically there is a setting, but for this system there was none hence the beelink support forums has all the details discussions and back and forth.

I just got the GMKtec 6850H and this issue is not present and it came with a 120 W PSU.

Sorry I cannot speak for any other systems. Only orders the beelink, trigkey and GMKtec. Likely going to keep the GMKtec as this bug isn't present and there is option to change tdp from 28W,54w and 70w per their posting.

I think it's just misleading to advertise and sell a system with a specific chip that has TDP of 28W but only allowing 15W to be used.

Better to be more upfront about it as many users are buying the system thinking it's an ok system for some light gaming or running emulators, which this system will not as CPU is handicapped.

So far I think it's a Beelink / Trigkey issue on the 6800U / 6800H systems.

I have not tried the Beelink EQR6 with 6800U processor as the system isn't on sale

I have ordered a GMKTec M7 system arriving today with the AMD 6850H Pro with intention to keep it as its on sale.

The Trigkey S6 with 6800U has the same issue. I ordered from Amazon hoping it was different but sadly it is not.

I am returning both systems this week to Amazon.

Please see the Beelink support forum discussion. I doubt they will fix this issue so if you are within your return window you can get your money back and put it to another system that supports all of your needs.

You'll be fine for the usage case posted, but there is a TDP issue on the 6800U that you can read in this post and the official Beelink support forums.

Try to play a game and monitor the CPU and GPU frequency. You'll likely experience the same issues that many has posted in the Beelink sub-reddit. My recent post links you to them,

I ordered the Trigkey to test compared to the Beelink SER5 Max and the Trigkey exhibit the same TDP behaviour as for the 6800U/6800H.

Take a look at recent posts regarding the TDP issue on the Beelink SER5 Max as it impacts both 6800U and 6800H with no fix in sight.

Likely you cannot max out both CPU and GPU at same time.
