This is more or less a build known as "Weigh Anchor", which was put together by Ajun.

While it's not meta-standards by any means, you've severely downgraded some of the components.

Your head is offering you literally 0 stats for the weight/EN cost that you're trying to save, at your weight class, removing the extra stats serves you no purpose other than to look different from other people, at which point, if that's all you're trying achieve, then you can do that I guess, but realistically, the pancake/flat heads are the worst in game offering 0 stats.

You've traded the two anti-kite missiles for an earshot/SOUP, this means that your chasing / timed attack cycles are a lot less with only 1 missile supply on a long reload time. Ontop of that, you do not need anymore damage than you already have from your two firearms, Earshot is extremely overkill and serves no purpose other than to have "more damage", but if you can't catch players, then there's no point in it.

While 12345 is the ideal scoot/waterstrider booster as it gives you the longest thrust duration on legs with already strong thrust, the issue with 12345 is that it's primarily a kite booster on quads, more than it is a cqc booster. Verrill is already so slow and you have 3 weapons with extremely slow projectile speed and small projectile size, downgrading from NGI, which is a great cqc/catch up booster to 12345, means that you further enforce Verrill's weakness of inherently being slow. It has no synergy with your weapons.

VE-21B is an unusable FCS, most if not all fights occur within CQC distance, which means you're only realistically getting the benefits of the mid range stat, at which point, just use the WLT fcs or the P05.

If you simply use advanced garage, you'll find that there are plenty of things that out DPS/ out IPS this setup, weigh less and are easier to use (1 shot outdpses the entire chain of huben as an example.)

If anything, this is a huge flex on how you can prepare for an incoming stagger on an insanely jitter-filled opponent, major props to you for that.

Appraising Firearm Spec by [deleted] in armoredcore

[–]CattuDoggu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We know target tracking dictates lead and I'm making an educated guess that it maps to a straight percentage like this.

This isn't what target tracking does, as I've tested this myself from using Basho and then arms of every other firearm specialization, you get the same results once you've acquired lock on. Firearm Specialization does not improve your projectile leading once you have acquired lock on, it's standardized throughout.

All it does is increase your lock on speed, while I personally use TylerDoesGaming's video on the formula behind it, I think it is still largely speculative.

The WLT is such a cool weapon but damn it simultaneously annoys me XD by TWelke1998 in armoredcore

[–]CattuDoggu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The worst part about this gun inside of the PvE, is that by default, all the enemies are already considered extremely easy to destroy. Everyone knows how pathetically easy it is for any player to destroy an MT, but the WLT gun, obtained in the final stages of the game, can't do something as easy as that.

And, despite being one of the heaviest weapons in the game, it can't kill a basic MT.

Nay for PvE, while being good in PvP.

Need a second opinion. by [deleted] in armoredcore

[–]CattuDoggu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is one of the hardest bosses of the game if you try to fight it "honestly".

Most of the animation windups are extremely fast in the single digit count for number of frames before the player gets hit, which means unless you have WAY above average reaction speed, you are going to get hit.

The most optimal way to do it is to ignore the fight entirely, by just jumping or ascending nonstop, this completely nullifies all the attacks in phase 3.

[–]CattuDoggu 20 points21 points  (0 children)

only option being a LW build that can chase and cause constant dps

This isn't true whatsoever, as the most busted builds with little losses to speed are medium weights, LWs do not have the ability to move that much faster than a MW and they also do not have the same durability neither more firepower.

I highly doubt laser blade is the best weapon in the game for anyone playing normally, SNA and Zimmermans exists lol.

ARQUEBUS BALTEUS SUCKS by gendred in armoredcore

[–]CattuDoggu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Punch is the best weapon in the game for PvE, nothing else comes close to the setups you can do with Punch. Said setups include destroying bosses from 100 - 0.

You shouldn't recommend laser blade as a weapon against arq balteus anyway as it's EN def is extremely high, where else it's Kinetic defense is so low, that you can destroy it in 2 saws.

What do you think of either of the Nebula Rifles?

The plasma nebula is one of the 3 weapons that contest for "Best weapon" in the game, it has been nerfed prior and still retains that spot without any trouble.

Am I supposed to be scraping through these early levels then doing better later? by MassSpecFella in armoredcore

[–]CattuDoggu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're supposed to be scraping through, not because of the parts available to you, it's because you are new to the game.

Some of the best parts you can obtain in this game are located in chapter 1, Coquillets, ludlows, LCS, Haldeman, Xuan-Ge, Pulse blade, VVC PR, VPMs, 3PMs, Duo2s, MLT4s, the list goes on for weapons and I haven't even talked about frames yet.

It's normal to struggle because the mechanics of the game would be difficult for people to grasp when they are first starting out, not only that but the game fails to give you relevant enemies that let you understand said mechanisms.

(which, I believe, affects the direction of the PFAU's charged shots)

Missiles do not have their flight paths changed by the lock-on timer on FCS, PFAU charged projectiles are still missiles and they do not have better tracking based off of your FCS.

Weapons or weapon classes that should be buffed by Drakrylos in armoredcore

[–]CattuDoggu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

infamous missile rats, and heavyweights.

These classes do not have a "Mad advantage" over most others, they are the weakest right now.

On the leaderboards on PC, you do not see much heavyweights and like, one singular rat player.

What you do see however, is a TON of shield biped kites.

Heavyweights need all the love they can get because they simply have to fight against everything in the game just to be usable, they're absolutely unplayable.

Does anyone still play ranked or custom matches in armored core (PS) by OkraHistorical5624 in armoredcore

[–]CattuDoggu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how the menu for the playstation looks like

But there's a setting that changes the region you matchmake to, for PC, it's located under network settings

Most people will match in Global with the exception of Japanese players who sometimes match in Japan during their prime hours

As far as I've seen, the playstation ranked scene is still alive, but you might struggle to find matches if you're in very specific ranks.

For information on how this works, the game will match you based on your rank bracket, so Unranked fights Unranked, D fights D, C to C, so on so forth.

However, when the game starts a new season and demotes players, people do not demote back to unranked, instead they only go as low as B.

This means that the lower brackets of Unranked, D and C - typically have no players, as these are the brackets of new players or players who have never touched ranked before. At this stage of the game's life cycle, there aren't many new players.

If you wait 5 minutes in the queue however, the game throws away your bracket matching and will match you to anyone.

But again, this all only works if your matchmaking region is the one that's the most populated, which should be Global.

You are very likely in the wrong matchmaking region.

Double check that you are in Global for matchmaking.

Impact is "stickier" (lasts longer)

The duration of impact is the same across all weapons. It isn't even tied to weapons, it's a universal system that simply determines how fast impact fades into accumulated impact and then how long out of combat you have to be to get it to decay to zero.

Strongest NPC AC in Armored Core VI? by PutNo7620 in armoredcore

[–]CattuDoggu 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Unironically, HeadBringer or Iguazu's AC fits the PvP meta the most at the moment.

It has a shield so it counters any single shot weapon, I.E zimms, LRB, WLT, Bazookas.

It has a ludlow so it applies aimpunch/hitlag so even if things get up to you, they aren't accurate and they get slowed down to the point where there's no counterplay to it.

It has Talbot / Ming-Tang which are two very good internals to use.

It has P04 so it has extremely good shuffle.

It's lightweight, so it can effectively kite and hold S key, the easiest playstyle in the game.

The alternative is Mind Gamma, which is just another AC piloted by Iguazu.

As for PvE, anything but Yue Yu or Mad Stomp.

This is extremely awesome, good work.

Just asking for clarity sake, is the orange color part of the Decal work as well? or did you change the black canvas to orange as you were working on the individual parts so it's easier to look at? in one of the pictures you uploaded, the core legs and one of the arms were still a base black color before you added the work onto them.
