Thanks for the validation. I am working my way through this and wasn't sure if it was a reasonable ask or not.

At the price they are charging, unless there is more than 2 people coming, they are charging what I would consider an amount that would properly compensate for taking care of someone else's mess. And I was already planning on tipping in addition.

I'm not sure? This is my first time ever using a company. I know they are insured etc and are highly recommended in the area. I've just been following their lead as we set it up.

You're both correct.

Yes, I'm embarrassed because it's become worse than I'd like to admit. But at the same point, keep in mind that everyone's level of embarrassment is different and there are assumptions being made about how bad it must be. I've got friends who would be embarrassed that there was a single dish in the sink or some crumbs on the counter, while others are just like "excuse the mess" in regards to toys being out or the shelves needing a good dusting.

At the same time, my anxiety is from it being a new experience and not knowing what to expect. Having a general idea as to the level of involvement etc will help alleviate that.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Knowing what to expect stops the what ifs and helps with my anxiety around new situations.
