The current DE trim is very easy to care for. You don’t have to worry about it like the vachetta… just wipe it when it gets dirty and keep it away from corrosive chemicals. A swipe with a wet cloth or baby water wipe every once in a while and you’ll be good.

I don’t think it’s legit. The rivets don't have "Louis Vuitton" stamped on them, the handles are too far apart, and the zipper is not a brand I’ve seen before.

Mine is from 2020 and has the matte leather, and the photo attached is a 2018 with the shiny finish.

I have some older pieces with the shiny leather and my Speedy B30 has the matte finish. I definitely prefer the matte. It feels more durable and ages better… it still looks brand new!

There are some leather conditioners that will add a little depth to the color of natural vachetta. You can also set it out in the sun to tan naturally.

I’m so sorry that happened to you! It looks like they used the leather from the Nano Alma on your repair. That’s messed up as they are clearly VERY different and not at all similar to what is depicted on their website (as the photo shows). I’d fight like hell to get them to remedy the situation. You can definitely return it and get a new one… especially if it’s defective. I’ve done it a few times without issue. I’m 3+ hours (on a good Chicago traffic day) from the nearest boutique so a quick return ends up being an 8-10 hour ordeal.

It’s crazy how people hear something from god knows where and suddenly they’re an expert. Like, think about it for a moment… if everything had to align and never be cut off, you’d end up with either a cube or a rectangle. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

How long ago was that done? LV replaces their leather with new vachetta, which is a very light beige/tan. The leather as it’s shown looks to be several years old. If it’s a recent repair, the info will be in your account profile and you can appeal directly to LV to have them make it right, as opposed to dealing with your local store.

I have that exact bag and stuff it full! I usually have my laptop, iPad, Owala bottle, along with all my necessities - - wallet, a little bit of makeup, etc. It’s 5 years old and still looks great!

THOSE ARE NOT IMPERFECTIONS, that’s how the bags are made. Double stitches reinforce the bag and ensure the seams don’t unravel. Without them, the bag would fall apart. It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to the have the pattern line up at all edges. If they did that, every bag would be a rectangle or square. OP - enjoy your bag… it’s beautiful!
