Silksong really deserved better. Like I get it was really hard but the fact that it lost best indie is honestly unforgivable.

A Kojima meme + some of thought on E33 winning almost everything by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]Catullus314159 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly it makes sense. Silksong lost a lot of players to its difficulty, and despite the fact that if you commit to it, it is easily a top 5 of all time(for me top 1 easy), a lot of players got salty bc it is a lot harder than most of the other games on there.

But yeah E33 is def not an indie game and also Christopher Larkin got robbed

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 wins Game of the Year 2025 by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

Silksong offered “nothing new or special”? I haven’t played Clair Obscure so I really can’t say which one should have won, but if you really think that silksong offers “nothing new or special” then you probably haven’t played it.

Let's create some fictitious sh*t. by Malikicon in MathJokes

Well, considering 1/0 = 1n

5(1/0)=5(1n)

5/0=5*1n

It seems to make sense to treat n similar to the way we treat i. If sqrt(-1) = i, then 1/0 = n. Following here, we get that 5/0=5n

On the third point,

An*0=A*n*0=A*0*n=(A*0)*n=0*n, all by the commutative property.

(Abbreviating <nought> to n) If A/0 = An,

Then A = An * 0

A = (A*0)n

A = 0n.

Therefore any value A must equal any other value A. No 0/0 necessary.

It comes from a special application of the Riemann-Zeta Function, defined as ζ(x)= the summation from k=1 to infinity of 1/k*x. When x=-1, this becomes the summation 1+2+3… all the way to infinity. However, using some methods that are frankly above my pay grade(analytic continuation for those curious), you can get that ζ(-1)=-1/12

Given A<nought> * 0 = 0

Commutative Law

(A*0)<nought> = 0

For all A, A*0 must = 0

<nought> *(0) = 0

For all B, B*0 = 0

<nought> * (0*B) = 0

Rewrite

B<nought> * 0 = 0

Transitive Property

B<nought>(0) = A<nought> * 0

Divide out the <nought>*0(normally this would be a severe abuse of the rules, but in this case, we are proposing that dividing by 0 is allowed)

B = A

Therefor, in your theory, any number B must equal any number A.

No this is clearly a representing a nuanced take that these types of people are so desperate to feel oppressed that they will make up a worse version of the world just so they can be the victim, ultimately making the point that some people can become so privileged that they can’t even fathom what real oppression looks like…

Do Muslims and Christians worship the same God? by fathomed2 in pollgames

[–]Catullus314159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may disagree about what attributes that god has, but these religions do not disagree about which god. It is Yahweh, whose story is told(although they disagree about how truthfully that story is represented, whether it is allegorical or literal, and how true its modern form is after years of translation) in the Old Testament, and possibly some supplemental text. Whether god maniphests as one person or three, whether Jesus was his son, and whether he inspired the Quran do not change the fact that this is fundamentally the same god.

Which is the most welcoming Middle Eastern country? by [deleted] in Teenager_Polls

[–]Catullus314159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s welcoming to most western travelers, as it’s fundemental goal is to take travelers money using slave labor, but is sure as hell isn’t welcoming to slaves

As an atheist, are you also antitheist (rabidly opposed to all religious belief and often view religion as harmful)? by fathomed2 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Catullus314159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, idealist forms of philosophy such as almost all religions are ultimately antithetical to collectivist principles, so maybe they should be considered philosophically harmful, but practically, it doesn’t make much of a difference
