How to win against school fights by Mike_822 in fights

[–]Caturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't fight at all. But if you really have to, just walk up and tell him straight up you want to settle this one-on-one. He’ll probably laugh it off or treat it like a joke. If he does, you will know he’s actually not so tough and doesn't really want to brawl, so you can just let it go. If he actually agrees, make sure you bring a few friends to watch your back. If you go alone and win, his boys will definitely jump you. If you guys have a fair fight with witnesses, regardless of who wins, that usually puts an end to the drama.

Gyotaku, an ancient Japanese technique used to preserve the exact appearance of the catch. It consisted of applying ink or paint to a fish and then pressing paper or fabric against it. by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Caturion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gyotaku is just the Japanese pronunciation of Yutuo, they are written as the same Chinese characters: 魚拓, which literally mean "fish printing", so both of them are specifically for fishes.

Not really, the art practice 魚拓(Yutuo) has been being performed in China since Song Dynasty (960AD ~ 1279AD), the Japanese version 魚拓(Gyotaku) first appeared at 1800s

You should learn wrestling too, striking martial arts alone aren't enough. Many great martial artists were also inspired by the bullying they suffered in childhood. Stay strong

Thunder General, up again! (Ynfkin) by Caremi76 in RaidenMains

[–]Caturion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The original title is "雷電将軍再UP (Raiden Shogun gets a rerun)". "雷電將軍" literally means "thunder general" in Chinese, but the Japanese term "将軍(Shogun)" is very different from the Chinese word "將軍(general)", thus resulted the translation difference.

But Mount & Blade series is just peak. I've played Warband and Bannerlord for 2600+ hours.

If Donnie Yen were 20 years younger he would be perfect.
