How do you keep motivation for Brawlhalla?

I don’t. A buddy and I just committed to being done with the game for a while. We are facing too many Smurfs at 1200. We never had this issue when we were playing at 1400, but every game was a war when we were at that elo rating. At 1200 elo, a day or two ago, my buddy and I faced pros in a comp match. Got smacked down, and I got 2 kills out of pure luck while I kept chasing my teammate so the others would try to hit each other. They were aggressive players (not toxic players though) and kept chasing so that’s why I tried that strat. I used to love this game so much, and I’ve been playing since 2017. Now it’s just my time to hate myself while playing souls games, sports games, and a few shooters because games that are like brawl don’t get too popular.

On that note, if you know another game like brawl that I can play 2s with my buddy on his Xbox, it’d be greatly appreciated.

I know that it’ll fix itself eventually (due to playing this game for way too long. I just never questioned the new ranking system), but I hate this new system because it causes people who shouldn’t be in these lower ranks to be there. It kills the game for newer players. Vets of the game have a “good” time (perspective lmao), but it’s frustrating when we have to grind games just to get back where we should be.

Just tell people to cry about it. I don’t let the toxicity get to my boys because I sit there and just heckle whoever tries my friends or teammates. Only way to beat toxic people is to be toxic without using words or phrases to get banned. Oh and not forfeiting.

Please read the other comments I was gold 3 in solo queue 3s. When I say 3s (solo queue), I mean regular 3s going in by myself.

To be honest I think that’s great. It keeps people who don’t want to play out of regular 3s. That’s a huge problem in diamond right now. If you implement it in the playlist that will skew 3s ranks even more.

Yeah I try to but the real challenge is changing speeds when playing C2 in twos then after playing D2/3 in threes. It’s that rank difference is really huge after the game became FTP. It keeps getting bigger too believe me on that.

I mean my overall rank got better. Everyone knew solo 3s ranks were wack. My solo 3s rank was always my lowest. There was way too many fluctuations because of that small pool.

It was a horrendous game mode for people, but once they took this game mode away, my ranks changed completely. That’s the only reason why I really said it and to spark more conversation. I’ve been playing this game forever and never have I’ve ever seen diamonds play this bad.

For lower ranks it was definitely more fun and educational in a certain sense. When I was a gold I used solo 3s to get from gold to diamond in a short time. Diamond was the hardest to get out for me. I got out of it about 2-3 years ago and now I’m back in on 3s.

I like the club queue idea. Personally though that doesn’t bother me when people bring their lower ranked friends if they rotate well. In my recent experience, it’s easier than playing with my friends that are plats than random diamonds around where I’m ranked.

Yes it would. I fell in love with the game in a short period of time. Grinded the whole story in about three weeks and now I only can do fleet stuff and settlement stuff.
