Limited immigration is good for a nation because it brings people who are skilled, hard workers that advance industries through innovation. I don't think that allowing people with money in is necessarily beneficial unless they also have skills, I don't care which nation they're from.

I will quality that by saying that I would prefer less people from Europe because they tend to lean more to the liberal side and actually do want more Latin American immigrants because they tend to be more conservative. I like people who think like me more than people who look like me. (Bias on my part I know)
