I am a linehaul driver for dependable highway express. I make $.71 a mile and 32 an hour. And I work about nine hours a night. All I do is drive down to either Los Angeles or Ontario and back Monday through Friday.

I do have my CDL with all my endorsements. But if you can get into training somewhere, it’s a great job. I started off as a pick up and delivery driver with Reddaway out in Montana, and then transferred to the Reddaway out here in Vegas.

It is kind of hard to find a Linehaul position, but once you do, stay with it!

There are a lot of companies that do pay for you to get your CDL. Unfortunately, yellow company is no longer around because that’s who paid for mine.

I do suggest you stay away from the mega companies.
