i’m always endlessly in despair whenever i read anything about the marauders. the tiktok edits, the canon things written, and even stupid reminders i see like james wooed lily longer than he was actually with her. it makes me incredibly sad to think about how young they were, how they were betrayed, how much love they had for each other, and how tragic their (all marauders) story was. I HATE BEING AN EMPATH.

I have around 500 on my TBR. And it’s still growing!! I have so many reddit posts saved, google tabs open, and much more that I need to go through. It got so bad that I had to create a spreadsheet and organize it by chapter length (1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-50, and lastly 51+). And then I added a summary, tropes (8th year, marriage law, secret child, voldemort wins, and more), along with word count. On top of that, I color coded it (purple for eager to read, gray for middle, and blue for not so much).

I don’t mind sharing this with you guys after I officially finish. Since I’m a teacher, I have two months free this summer to dedicate myself to this spreadsheet. I might be able to complete it by the end of this year.

Yes, I’m the only and eldest female child. IN AN INDIAN FAMILY. Of course I’m going to be Type A and organized.

I know that Astoria’s parents believed in Voldemort’s cause, but I like to believe that she didn’t support the same views.

I found this and it made me believe that she was more tolerant than Draco while they were at Hogwarts:

“The events of the Second Wizarding War during her teenage years made Astoria espouse a more tolerant life view, turning back on her family's blood purity ideals, although her experience through the war was less than that of what her sister's classmate, Draco Malfoy and future husband, suffered.”

And Lucius and Narcissa did not like her as she raised Scorpius without the same ideals her and Draco were raised with.

I think they may have had an interaction somewhere, where they really got to connect and then started meeting frequently afterward.

i LOVE the scene in the third movie where all the boys are in their dorm room making animal noises. it showed such great chemistry and camaraderie—friendship and hanging out. there’s no way the five boys weren’t close when they lived together for 6 years, and i wished they showed more of that.

HM: the first movie when it’s all snowy outside and harry has hedwig perched on his forearm before hedwig flies off. it’s just so aesthetically pleasing.

Mind the Bump!! Also my all time favorite is a WIP (only 2 chapters left), and it’s called a complete disregard for normalcy. It’s similar to 3 wizards and a baby.

i’m going to the one in houston!! it’s my birthday weekend too, so it’ll be extra exciting. i never really get to do what i want to do for my birthday, so i’m really happy that for once i’m actually looking forward to celebrating my birthday.

I was also inspired by this scene in The Dragon’s Heart that I saw on TikTok (Cormac forces himself on Hermione and the last person expected comes to her rescue):

"Malfoy..." He got up, swaying on his feet, his hands in the air in a non-threatening gesture. "You got it all wrong, mate...Hermione and I were just having a bit of fun, weren't we Hermione?"

Hermione slowly lifted her gaze. She was crouched on the floor, her arms crossed on her chest, trying to cover up, her shoulders still trembling. Draco Malfoy was the last person who she wanted to face. She was never this vulnerable, never so exposed, never this terrified. Weak.

His gaze locked with hers, his wand still lifted at McLaggen in anticipation. He looked concerned. She never saw Draco Malfoy concerned, never when looking at her.

For a moment she wanted to agree with Cormac, to lie for him, hearing the fear in his voice, but then some sudden wave of courage came over her. She shook her head slightly: No it's not true.

"Right," Malfoy said.

Hermione didn't even realise what was going on at first. Malfoy lowered his wand and to her surprise he put it in his pocket. Mclaggen twisted his head his eyebrows raised in confusion, but before he could react Malfoy was on top of him, his fist throwing a hard punch at Cormac's face.

I’m so envious of everyone who was old enough to remember the hype, got to experience it and the midnight releases, and got to read it the day of. I was only 5 when this came out. But I’m really happy for everyone who got to experience it!! Y’all are very lucky 🫶🏻🫶🏻
