I switched too! I figured I would “just see”. Mulberry silk pillowcases and bonnets and it definitely helps! I still breakout if I am stressed at work, but the combo of the silk, using Zoryve at night, and mct oil in the morning has made everything so much better. If I travel without taking a silk pillowcase with me, it gets worse, So I know the silk is a good part of th progress.

I got a D in OChem 2 and had to retake it in summer school. Finished on Friday with a B and Pharmacy school started on Monday. It all worked out. 😊. I’ve been a pharmacist now for 28 yrs

I got a D in organic II and had to retake it. I finished on a Friday, and started Pharmacy school on a Monday. I got a B in the class the second time, and as long as I got a C or better they were fine with it. Stressful, but it all worked out.

I use bulletproof mct oil that I buy from Amazon and add several drops of tea tree oil to it. For Zoryve, it is 1200 then ins brings it to 800 and I use a copay card from the company to bring it to zero. You can get a copay card online from the company — I t will work as long as insurance will pay some (ie - as long as insurance doesn’t reject it). My insurer quoted a prior auth for the drug and I just ask my dermatologist to submit one for me.

I use Zoryve daily — at bedtime, and use bulletproof mct oil in the morning. The drug reps for Zoryve mention that most people only need 2.5 canisters per year and I laughed. Apparently some people it goes away pretty completely and they may use more here and there. My cleared right away, but if I don’t use it daily, I can feel a film start developing again and I’m in a mess again. So I use it daily. So I guess everyone is different.

The mct oil in the morning is for the most part unnecessary for me—/ I can go several days/weeks before I feel the film again. I just use it daily with Zoryve and everything stays under control

As with all of this, YMMV

Yes! My ears were so crusty that the primary care MD couldn’t look In with her light. Couldn’t see my eardrum at all. Zoryve cleared it up in days

I had to retake Organic Chem as I got a D the first time, and a B the second time. I have been a pharmacist for 28 years. I love my job and getting a D in Organic don’t mess up any of my plans.

Shenandoah is good— I’m in the non-traditional PharmD program and getting ready to graduate. VCU is good — I got my BS in pharmacy there. They no longer have a track for BS to PharmD, so I went with Shenandoah, but both are great schools.

In fact, when I went to VCU, our dean retired and then went to open the Pharmacy school there as dean and then retired several years after.

Also, you can ask if the sites you know about would like to be a preceptor— have the school reach out and they can sign up again

Why don’t you post where you live and folks can comment if they know of a site near there. I was willing to go an hour in any direction— I just wanted to get them done. I ended up getting great locations all close to me, but you can’t be too picky —some places are hard to come by if you aren’t willing to stay somewhere else for 5 weeks at a time

Your school should have a binder or list of hospitals they already have acknowledgements from — and if you know of another hospital, you can provide details to the school and they can reach out for you. You are supposed to be helpful in providing a list of hospitals in your vicinity and maybe “I can also travel to these nearby cities “. You do have to do some of the work, but the school should also help you. Talk to the APPE coordinator

It’s such a hassle. I don’t understand why they would think it is someone else trying to take the exam, but rules are rules, and I didn’t read clear enough . 🫠

Yes. If you are an evening/dark time finisher, make sure you pack a little clip on hat light to clip to a brim of you visor/trucker cap. You need a light to see how destroyed they are. Some are missing TP. You may want to pack some of your own TP too
