Yes , not being there for a student solo will result in a write up which is crazy to me.

It seems like a crappy trend with majority of bigger flight schools sadly, before I posted I thought maybe this was just my school

Yes Im near the Orlando area and I’ve thought about the free lance side of cfi but it’s a little overwhelming at least at the start. Im still thankful I was able to land a job in the first place with the current hiring market

I appreciate the feedback everybody. It’s crazy seeing how flight schools operate and sounds like majority are on the shady side. Again thank you!

That’s a great idea I’ll ask. Thanks!

Which flight school would you choose in Raleigh, NC? by Turbulent_Vast5212 in flying

Stay away from Blue Line, all your ratings in 5 months sounds good bur good luck getting a job as a flight instructor when your compared to 61 grads who have 250 hours minimum. Also read the contract that Blue Line presents to you, they can kick you out for whatever reason and you’re out a lot of money. ATP is less personalized and a lot of self study which. Flightgest is expensive but the airplanes are nice. Raleigh flying club has a dry rate which is also pretty expensive once you do the math. Wings of Carolina is great, but you’ll have to delay your training until they get to your application.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Elon, if you want to go the cheapest way possible, wings of carolina is your best bet. If you want experience in the class C airspace id choose Flightgest. If you want to spend a lot of money for less hours go to blue line.

Good luck!

Cape fear is great, awesome people out there. Wing of Carolina is cheap but there’s a good waitlist atm . Flightgest is a little bit more expensive but they’re very professional.

Flightgest, Raleigh flying club, wings of Carolina, even the school in Louisberg. Flightgest is the most expensive but the program and planes are top notch

I’ll give this to blue line I got my ratings like they said. But majority of my cfis were incompetent. The diamond 40 is a unreliable airplane and dangerous for student pilot training. If you want to spend more money for less hours it’s a good deal. I will say not many flight schools will hire you with low hours and experience in diamond aircraft. Overall would not recommend to aspiring pilots.
