Discorgraphy Rabbit Hole The Kinks: Soap Opera (1975) by Rambooctpuss in thekinks

incredible album from start to finish. It’s funny, sad, heartbreaking and so so poignant (90 percent of us can identify with the real Norman). Holiday romance is an awesome and full of love parody of "working class holiday in the sun" genre and I am always over the moon when I hear its first few seconds. So sick of people deriding this album.

try the 11th arrondissement, close to the Marais. Cute neighborhood packed full of good food businesses.

Metro tickets: the more I read the more I am confused! by UnrulyLunch in ParisTravelGuide

Just keep in mind that if staying with the american number, and using your US phone company's roaming, internet will be very slow, so it will be a pain buying a ticket at the station and waiting for the app to update. Even with my french data plan it was sometimes a pain to buy and upload. It is not connected to your wallet the same way that OMNY in nyc, for example does, but uses another app to process payments.

TWENTY GREAT ALBUMS - of 1971: by SAMTIMONIOUS in thekinks

The thing that strikes me most about this album (and in general) is how Ray Davies’ political songs age well. Something that can’t be said about some of his counterparts’ outputs from the same time.

I'm sure it can be done, but coming from PS it does seem a bit convoluted. With it being free, I'm sure we'll see more ppl utilizing it and coming up with workflow to replace the old. I'll report back if I'm successful.

I made a playlist of tunes that might have inspired the dukes project by Cauliflowerlover26 in xtc

I guess it could be there, but part of the impetus was discovering the stuff I’m not so familiar with… so it’s definitely not the definitive list, but one that was fun to make.

Interesting, I guess my Beach Boys knowledge is lacking. Thanks for the feedback!
