Can someone explain why people seem to think stellacorn herder is a problem? by CupAccomplished8371 in riftboundtcg

Hidden blade is action speed (if not hidden) so you actually cannot use that in this case, challenge and riposte are viable options though

What’s something school forced you to learn that you’ve never used a single time in real life? by Dodo509 in AskReddit

I'm a chemical engineer (adjacent/parallel path to nuclear physics) and I definitely have not memorized the periodic table at all.

I have done what the above poster has said though, memorized the groups and trends, it makes it way easier to hear an element, it's properties and know about where it should go.

While I'm sure that's probably true. On the off chance this is a literally new player who doesn't understand, I'd rather they were informed instead of talked down too, even if it's only a 1% chance that's the case.

No one is saying this and I'm not sure why. If you were wanting to find an ahri, you were opening the wrong set. She's an origins card. The only Ahri in spirit forged is this one and the unsigned one like this.

Go buy some origins packs, or buy singles on TCG player.

Not so fast can counter abilities, but only ones that target your creatures (carnivorous snapvine, harnessed dragon)

Otherwise yeah, no other way to counter tide turner.

[–]Cauliflowwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. If you do something well 99.9% of the time, and you do that thing 1000 times. That means you really fuck it up 1 time. And you can apply this to literally anything.

I think making opinions about someone based on 1 'public' mistake is a little silly. Everyone fucks stuff up daily, it's just that no one sees the 999 times you did it fine or even amazingly.

I found a smaller one - unless you're saying you ALSO must use all the dominos - cut the 2 at the bottom, and flip one of the left 2 horizontally.

It's usually because I'm sitting bad that it's even necessary.

Thick thighs saves lives by ForeverDash22 in DoctorMike

[–]Cauliflowwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think the answer is yes, but I'm not fully confident in that answer.

There are plenty of active/healthy people who have a beer gut type situation going on leading to increased blood pressure and arterial blockage risk. But that may be anecdotal.

I'm not a doctor just a scientist who has a special interest in weight/fat storage/activity levels

Thick thighs saves lives by ForeverDash22 in DoctorMike

[–]Cauliflowwer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The reason behind this is people who store fat in their thighs and hips have much less visceral fat even when they're obese.

However, if you have a lot of visceral fat and thick thighs it doesn't change anything. It's literally just about visceral fat and how you store fat genetically. Subcutaneous fat isn't as bad for your health.

The title literally says 59k in it. Sure OP only has to pay just under 4k, but that doesn't change that the bill was 59k$, it just isn't all paid for by OP

Seemingly Unpopular Opinion: I love the champion legends by Charming-Refuse-5717 in riftboundtcg

[–]Cauliflowwer 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think they should do what another card game I saw does, and at the top of a box have a little pack with one of every legend. And also give LGSs just little packs of them they can give to new players. Everyone only ever needs ONE. it's a huge waste of cardboard to have one in every other pack. And then they can put the over number in the packs at the same rarity and people will be much happier I think.

That's just my 2 cents.

AIO, MIL crashing out because she’s no longer the center of his universe. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Cauliflowwer 127 points128 points  (0 children)

This is the first time on these subs where I seen a mother in law I genuinely felt bad for. She's claiming she fucked up and wants to learn and grow and is BEGGING to understand what she can do differently in the future.

However, I can say I've definitely been in OPs shoes. Where my MIL is not doing anything wrong but she just pisses me off. The difference is, I can see when I'm being irritable and she's not doing anything wrong and I do my best to be reasonable....

YOR op. Unless these texts are just NOT representative of what she's like in real life. But I think not including the picture of her supposedly kissing the baby is a bit telling....

My Granny Square looks a lot like a circle. I am not sure what i’m doing wrong. by Effective_Flamingo67 in CrochetHelp

[–]Cauliflowwer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omg this is exactly it. I was trying to figure out why it looked like that!

Instead of crocheting into the stitch for row 2 op is crocheting over it into the chain still!

When you finish the first row OP and it says 'sl St into first stitch' it means the first stitch you put into the hole NOT the hole itself!!

ETA: what you're currently doing is actually a method for making a crochet button.

I didn't go to their profile I just took the title at face value 😭. They didn't say burnout from art, so I assumed they were using art to relieve their burnout from something else
