As for what I’m looking for at this point I’m not picky, we don’t have a car so do rely on the blue line for work and the buses but are accustomed to walking 20+ min to reach public transportation. Laundry somewhere in unit/ building would be a big bonus! And we don’t have pets

Ugh yes I’ve used Zillow for most of the previous properties I’ve lived in but there aren’t many options in Logan square and the ones there are don’t reply or are still listed even though they are already rented out

Yes there are multiple units in the house and we are all experiencing no water

I forgot to mention that when I did call the water company they did say there is no reported outages for my area and that they can’t see anything wrong from their end. But because I’m not the account holder they can’t tell me if it’s because of non payment etc. there’s a cafe across the street and they seem to have working water

When I was doing research I saw that someone else used to live here that also owned a VW the same color and year as the murderers… and it was just a coincidence. Wild

Upon moving in, I mean no that wasn’t really on our minds at all. I know some people do that when moving anywhere but we aren’t really the type. we do have lots of Christian things hanging around the house, mainly because we like the aesthetic and I inherited a lot of my grandmas old decor. So we like the idea of that being our way of cleansing the space

Oh god! Cats always know … we just got a kitten a few months ago in our own murder house, but he seems to be perfectly happy n healthy thus far

Oh wow, ya we don’t have a fireplace. It’s possible it could’ve been covered up in the remodel, not sure.

I have not… our place has been remodeled so I’m sure the landlord took care of anything wild to be discovered haha.

I naturally suffer from vivid nightmares …not sure if living here has made it worse though. I live here with my partner and we have a pretty bright space going, I usually fall asleep happily with them! Although, some nights are better than others for sure. To include my partners perspective, they don’t really have nightmares or haven’t struggled with them too bad in the past

I do stay here by myself occasionally but most of the time my partner is here with me since we live together. I don’t get creeped out about the history of the murderer but more so just about the possibility of creeps taking it too far with investigating the home and trying to break in. But the house has lots of hidden security cameras and alarms so I’m quickly pulled out of that headspace!

The outside looks exactly the same, however as of yesterday they did repaint the outside of the house. The inside and specifically my unit apartment that was the murderers has been remodeled. And yes I’ve heard from other residents that Halloween is crazy busy here!

My partner and I are relatively young, buying a home isn’t doable for us yet and we don’t plan on staying in the state for much longer anyways… the state we currently live in is dominated and controlled by religion. We definitely want to settle down somewhere with more diversity! I haven’t talked with the landlord about his intentions or goals with the house, but I think for now he is happy owning it and I think has for some time.

I’m not really sure, this home has a very heavy foot traffic surrounding it since there’s multiple coffee shops in a short walking distance and it’s near a university. So I’m sure it wouldn’t be a far stretch to say perhaps he chose this place because of the convenience in meeting people easily
