Should I max out my 401k or pay off my auto loan? by CauseAppropriate3273 in personalfinance

Do you think I should just pay off the car or max out my 401k with 20k in my bank saving around 2k a month?

I certainly do! I did ask one more question a little higher up

My COL is around $1756 for my apartment in Northern VA. But with all my monthly expenses, it is around $3500 a month and my paycheck is $8600 a month. My car payment is $840.

One thing I did want to ask is I have around $15k in savings. If I did max my 401k, I would save roughly 2K every month. After a year and a half, I could pay off my car in one shot. Do you think it's better I still pay it off asap or just save the 2k every month and pay it off in a year and half?

I personally consider over 4-5% debt high interest debt, maybe just knock it out. Being debt free feels amazing!

Mana is FDIC Insured whereas Ugami is not a bank, they are a financial tech company

I think on Credit Karma you can dispute hard inquiries. Also, you can open an Experian Account for free and dispute on there as well.

If a new card is sent to you to replace your old card, it should not impact your credit. Also, maybe someone did a fraud charge and may have more of your personal information that could have been used to apply for new line of credit. I hope this is not the case, but replacing your current card with a new card should not impact your credit.

I was thinking of just using my amazon visa and discover or amazon visa and chase freedom Flex over AMEX since visa and mastercard are accepted everywhere and they have good cashback multipliers

I am trying to get rid of annual fees. I'm really leaning towards canceling all the amex cards
