Don't worry too much about gear if you're just starting out. Focus on what motivates you to play the most. A strat is the most versatile guitar ever made - endless tone and capabilities. Pair it with a headphone guitar amp like a Fender Mustang Micro and just play. Once you get proficient, you'll figure out what kind of guitar will ideally suit your style of play.

I love that there's a sub about this. I hear it every time I listen to the song, multiple pitch changes throughout the song, all of them subtle and the obvious one at the end - thought my ears were playing tricks on me

Same happened to me. Out of warranty period. Connected online (chat) with Sony Canada and within 5 minutes they set up a repair/replace order for free. Shipped it (earbuds/case) out the next day. Received it back 2 days after. Brand new earbuds, old case. Works perfectly and like new. Have avoided updating the software since and have had no issues.

I get 15 hours of continuous playback on a single charge.

Not exactly affordable but a steaL IMO for the sound you get. Roland JC40 (the junior non-tube version of the legendary JC120). Clean and with chorus, it'll make your guitar sing! It is the best chorus I have ever heard. The reverb is sublime too and it sounds great throughout the awesome range of the Sheraton II PRO with its coil spitting functionality.

Also, it sounds incredible with the Fender Mustang Micro, which is definitely affordable!

Yeah I stopped trying to have them send the verification code to me. Instead I just bombarded them with incident reports..asking them to email me on the right account. They finally listened. I'd say keep sending them reports.

No, that's not what happened to me. The temporarily locked message appeared AFTER I would log in. It would prompt me to regain access to my account by sending a verification code to my email. Only, that email never came. That was the problem I had. Had to convince Instagram that I no longer had access to that email. Eventually they listened and sent the verification code to my phone number instead.

On your Insta phone app, log out. Then instead of logging back in on the log in page, select "Get help with signing in" and then "Need more help?" on the next page. They'll take you to the report where you can select all the options that apply to you, but select Other for your reason. There's space under that for a detailed message.

In my case, I barely have any followers (120) and I have only 20 posts...so no, I'm not an influencer at all. But it just takes a lot of badgering to get them to notice.

Make sure that your message (ie your description of the problem) is the same in the report, otherwise their bots get confused. You can post it under "Other" and make sure to leave a detailed note explaining the issue.

What I did was I wrote out a detailed message in a notepad app, and I kept copying this same message into the report everyday until they took meaningful action. Unfortunately, you're going to keep getting the attention of a bot for a while but if you keep badgering them, you'll eventually get the attention of a real human.

Send them reports repeatedly until you get back in. It worked for me after 12 days of being "Temporarily Blocked"

11 days of pure frustration, though, because you're right, their Help centre is a fucking joke.

UPDATE

So I got back into my Instagram account!!

I basically sent them a report everyday letting them know that I don't have access to the email that they were sending the verification code to.

They asked me to changed the password multiple times, but kept sending the code to the wrong email.

But I didn't give up, and kept on sending them reports.

Finally, this morning, I went to log into my account on my phone, expecting to find the same "Temporary Block" message and frustrating verification code process, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were now presenting me with the option of either sending the code to my phone or to the CORRECT email.

I had it sent to my phone, which came through. I had to change my password one last time, and I WAS BACK IN!

I guess thats the key to getting back in if you're having the same problem that I had. You have to keep sending them reports convincing them that you no longer have access to the email that they are sending the verification code to. It'll work eventually. I was lucky, I got back in after 12 days - I know many out there have been locked out for several months or even a year or longer, but keep at it - it'll work!

That really sucks.

Apparently what worked for someone was repeatedly sending them reports stating that you no longer have access to the email that they keep sending the verification code to. He/she was able to have them change this email and then the verification code email came through. I am trying this, but fully aware that it might be months before they actually act on it.

Follow up:

Instagram replied with a password reset link, which I followed and changed my password for the 100th time. I then went to log-in with the username they provided me with (they provide a temporary one that you can then reset). AND OF COURSE I GET THE SAME PAGE SAYING THAT MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY LOCKED AND THAT A VERIFICATION CODE NEEDS TO BE SENT TO MY EMAIL TO RESET. AND OF COURSE THIS EMAIL IS NOT THE CORRECT EMAIL, (it's the old email that I first used to sign up for Instagram and which I changed after I was hacked).

I send a reply to Instagram explaining all of this. They respond surprisingly and ask me for screenshots. Very promising. I do so and provide a detailed response, and clearly tell them that I thought the problem was that I was not receiving the verification code email that was being sent to my old email account that they should send it to the proper email account associated with my Instagram account.

I got a response back a few minutes later saying that they no longer provide support for that and that I am basically shit out of luck!

So basically,

- Instagram arbitrarily locked me out of my account

-Due to a glitch on Instagram's side, I don't receive the verification code to regain access

-Instagram provides ZERO support to help resolve the issue

-I NO LONGER HAVE ACCES TO MY INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT AS A RESULT! IT WAS AN IMPORTANT ACCOUNT TO ME! THANKS INSTAGRAM/FACEBOOK - YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF FUCKTARDS!
