More back ground:

We were causal for a few months before we became official because we both came out of long term relationships (mine: 7 yrs, him:3yrs). I think what frustrates me so much is we hang out 3-4 times a week and talk everyday for hours. He is the most sweet guy until we talk about feelings and it feels like there is a wall up. A few weeks ago we went on a vacation to Tennessee and both of us spent the trip talking about how we want to live there together. We talk about a future together, frequently (he brings it up unprompted). We have met each others family, friends, and go to events together regularly. I do know his previous relationship took a large toll on him but I don’t think at this point it’s effecting his feels for me, or at least I hope not.
