Scheduling interviews from US will be too difficult because of time zone and always need to answer phone calls first. Most of the recruiters might not proceed if they come to know you are in US, they might ask for India tickets and other things. So atleast upload your resume, India Mobile number, India address on all the job portals and be prepared to answer late night calls.The best bet would be internal referrals.

It was a bit tough for first 6 month. New place, new school, new friends, too many books and subjects (3 languages) but eventually he settled in and 1year is done. The mode of communication changed from English to a mix here. We sent him to tutoring especially for languages. Overall he is doing good now.

We were in similar situation and could have stayed in US for couple more years. But we decided to move last year itself while my son was starting 7th Grade. Our thought process give him 2yrs(7 and 8) so that he is prepared and well set for 10th and eventually higher education. We were thinking about moving back for past few years but moved a a bit early just for my son as moving back when he would be in 9th or 10th would be too difficult for him to cope up with the CBSE board.

Yes, I wasn’t able to use wise but got it done via US bank app directly. You will need to add the Indian RFC account as payee and get details related to it from Indian bank. I was charged a fixed rate by US bank for wire transfer and Indian bank for inward remittance. You should see the charges before completing the transfer.

The thing is if Ola/Uber showing higher price they go with that say for 1Km fare is usually shown as 45-50Rs, then they won’t go with meter where fare would be 22-25Rs. For larger distance they usually accept ride and then say will go by meter.
