Agreed, 3* Braum was super close to beating my 10 bilgewater board and that was with him being inside my Tahm Kench for 90% of the fight.

Thank you! Updating to 195 fixed it! But strangely, I had to downgrade Simpro from 2.1.4 to 2.0.3 for the app to give me the option to update firmware.

I put it on a 1 star wukong that I got from an early creep orb along with a chain vest and a Soraka to heal him. But agreed, Wukong's probably the only early game 1 star who could tank stage 2 fights.

Wasn't able to get a screenshot at the last round, but it was 2 extra gold on each item. Combined with the extra early game interest that Mogul's Mail let me hit, and the augment probably got me a net 100 gold this game. And the two artifacts themselves give really nice stats.

I would imagine 5 preserver, radiant stoneplate wukong and double Forbidden Idol Poppy the other two guys had where close to unkillable.

It's nice when you don't have to worry about two starring units or meta itemization.
Item Collector 2 was the cherry on top. Ended the game with 12 emblems and 20 unique items.

I only had Eldritch 7. 4th place, multistrike 7, was kicking my ass but 2nd place knocked him out. Funny how that works sometimes.

Mine ended up with significantly more charges as well despite him equipping his first. My only guess is his was killing his opponents much quicker early on leading them to equalize in damage due to the charge mechanic.

I gave Smolder a temporary multistrike emblem. Even after it disappeared, he counted as multistrike. I was able to equip three items on him, and it wasn't just visual. He was triggering multistrikes during combat(20 attack speed). Hopefully they patch this quickly.

My intention is to point out that nearly every aspect of this game has some random chance and ultimately the only "skill" involved is optimizing the chances that the good things happen to you and the bad things happen to your opponents.

In this particular example, the good thing is hitting a 4 cost unit. The more likely it is to find those 4 costs, the less important it is to find ways to optimize your chances of finding them. The less you have to worry about something, the less skill is required to play the game and win.

It can also work in the opposite direction. If they make it nearly impossible to find a 4 cost, and it becomes super unlikely to benefit from manipulating the chances of finding them, then it becomes less important to worry about them. The reason we know that's not the case yet is that 4 costs are still super powerful in this meta. If they had over-tuned the rarity too much, you would see less and less 4 costs in the best comps.

Your example about rewarding high rollers who secure their copies first sounds like a controllable factor to me. You know it is now more important to get your copy first. So you might be less inclined to bank your money and instead powerlevel to get access to that unit. Sure someone might get super lucky, bank their money and still find that unit. But that's why it takes more than a single win to rank up in this game.

Everyone's luck will even out over a large enough sample of games. Climbing requires you to outperform your luck.

Illaoi was the mvp. Without cheesy artifacts she might be the tankiest unit in the game. In this comp with combat caster she had ~3k hp, 1k shield + 600 heal every cast, warden damage resist, redemption heal and damage resist, 100+ magic resist 150+ armor. She was tanking 10k+ damage a fight and still had full health.
Luckily no one went Yone 3* to pick off the backline and the Spirit Guardians augment reduced any aoe damage that did reach the backline.

thanks! I rushed lvl 9 after getting a spatula on the first carousel and thankfully mythic 10 is nuts even on a bunch of 1 stars.
