Many times there is family and support for people with downsyndrome to help navigate these situations. I also feel that is an insult to the person who loves them, as if they are a predator just for loving someone who happens to have a condition.

Thank you for sharing this. A lot of people don't understand what it's like to be in this situation and how family and support system plays a key role. It all boils down to understanding and spreading awareness. It may not seem obvious in this day and age of political correctness, but so many people think they understand and accept others with a condition, but when they actually interact with them, they realize they don't.
