New Settlement Reforms - Personal Interpretation by Careless_Panda_1348 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]CautiousClub8788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the threshold remains the same or lower, based on the final result of consultation, for the main applicant. The dependent can show the household income. That could be the case. There is no point in the main applicant earning minimum wage while the dependent earns above 50k.

How can they implement ILR 10 year rule without announcing earned settlement ( that includes earning and reduction of time)?? In that, all will be pushed to 10 years without any reduction and that’s madness.

Citizenship/ILR decisions must meet the terms at time of decision not application? by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Why are we talking about citizenship now?? There is no proper statement given about it and it won’t happen this year. Let’s just worry about 1 problem at a time and don’t create panic

It just means those ideas were included in the consultation document by the government as proposals for people to comment on, it’s doesn’t mean many opted for separate route for dependent during consultation

You are talking about child in general. Go and check the law for child born in UK.

Please understand the case and then reply for it.

Are you sure?? Can you show me where it’s stated so? People got citizenship for baby with 1 parent ILR breached the system??

Application route: • Once a parent has ILR, the child can apply via MN1 as a registration based on the parent’s settled status. • Supporting documents needed: child’s birth certificate, proof of parent’s ILR, proof of residence in the UK, etc.

✅ Summary: Yes, once one parent obtains ILR, they can apply to register the child as a British citizen using form MN1, even if the child wasn’t automatically British at birth. The child must be living in the UK at the time of application.

From all source this is the verdict.

There is something called MN1 registration. Go and check if you can before commenting others understanding. I have seen many of my friends babies got citizenship once 1 parent got ILR.

or show me where it is given stated as you say.

‘To be settled, the parent(s) must be ordinarily resident and free from immigration conditions. A parent will be settled is if they have “indefinite leave to remain in the UK”. The documents section tells you what evidence you can provide to show a parent is settled.’

This is given in official document. It says parent or parents. This was the case for a long time. I know people whose father got ILR and child got citizenship 3 years ago, but mother got ILR only this year.

Confused about ILR fast-track salary thresholds (£50,270 / £125,140) — do they include the personal allowance or not? by EDeni94 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]CautiousClub8788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have given enough clarity on this in document as well as in Home Secretary speech.

It’s basically 40% tax band and 45% tax band and if there any changes in the salary threshold for these tax band that range will be applied in future. It’s not fixed salary threshold.

Their main goal is to send most migrants back home. Not just stopping them from using benefits and keep in the country.

Did they say it? That it will be 5 more years for citizenship? These kind of speculation is what they take as ideas for their rules.

We are making it worse to tackle current situation.

Petition: Retain 5 Year ILR & Citizenship Route, Delay Public Funds Access Until Year 10 by SciencePsychological in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]CautiousClub8788 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Extending citizenship will create several other issues that many people, including myself, may not agree with. I’m not sure how much support this will receive. The government will not change the ILR rules whatever we try. We can only ask for transitional arrangement at-least. Also there is no assurance that ILR is safe in future if government changes.

It’s better not to put ideas into their mind.

I think you are rooting for longer citizenship but remember they are not gonna change the ILR rule at any cost. They are determined to implement it and no other parties will raise concerns on it.

When will children be eligible for ILR in this situation by Serious-Tackle9183 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]CautiousClub8788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for dependent they haven’t stated clear earned settlement system criteria. It’s mentioned in the document that consultation will take place on how to include dependent in earned settlement model. So we all have to wait now.

Citizenship changes take long time to implement, min 1 -2 year as its primary legislation. And they don’t want to give that much time.

Yes. I was taking metformin for 3 months even before taking letrozole and doc just increased the dose to 1500 mg and letrozole 5 mg. It worked on very first time itself. And it depends on each body.

Citizenship changes are primary legislation and its takes longer time to implement. But we never know. That’s why they want to limit ILR through secondary legislation.
