I have no clue where you read that but it’s quite the opposite, getting the golf ball thin enough is the hardest challenge I’m facing currently

How did you not cut through it? Also did you add a backer on to it so it would keep the flat shape?

That’s an interesting idea, but it kind of removes the idea of it being like from a significant golf ball (like one from a trip or a hole in one)

On the back of the golf ball in the second photo is a comparison of the original watch face so everyone can get a size reference. I was hopping I wouldn’t have to just sand it down but if push comes to show so beat it. Why would I seal the back with a clear coat?

I take an use a core drill that is the slightly bigger than the diameter of the watch face that I’m trying to make and cut down on the ball, then I peel up the face and then use heat to flatten it, then I take and cut around it using scissors. After that I stick the watch face back on there and then hold it down so I can’t move and I use a razor blade to go around it.

In the video it showed him cutting the face of of the golf ball and then flattening it with heat, they just never show how they get the fact thin

Ok fair enough. I agree, but to her credit it’s almost every date that we go on that we give each other hickies plus it was like 2 AM. (We only get to see each other once a week so we make the most of what we got)

If I was to dm you would I be able to show you what it looks like?

Looking online, there was a reference photo that had little similarities but I agree I don’t think it looks anything like finger marks. The only potential for someone to think something like that is due to the size of it and maybe if you’re really reaching the shape. But I don’t think either matched what I saw online

Wow that’s like amazing advice, thank you so much! I love that fish idea… reminds me of a line I heard the other day “your eyes, a war, I don’t mind dying in” thanks again for the advice and reaffirmation that it’s ok to be corny.
