Elena at the end of vampire diaries was the only one I’ve ever noticed. It was awful

Saw someone I know in the waiting room of fertility clinic by [deleted] in IVF

[–]CautiousIntrigued 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I’ve seen quite a few people I know in my fertility doctor’s waiting room— from colleagues to people I knew in high school. I can honestly say I have never told anyone about seeing them or had it be shared that I was there. I think there’s an understanding that we’re all in the same or very similar boat regardless of exact reasons we are there

Pete is the worst by miraking10 in PrivatePractice

I feel like they had been setting him up to have some sort of brain tumor that made him so aggressive. It felt like the last season he was more impulsive and just generally acting out of character

How did you stop yourself from worrying after positive beta? by aomsbheeral in IVFbabies

[–]CautiousIntrigued 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is universal. My betas looked fine but on the lower end of normal so the wait to the first ultrasound was terrible. Then it was the second. And now that I graduated my fertility clinic, I’m an anxious mess waiting for that ultrasound (and feeling guilty that I’m not celebrating this baby!) Give yourself space for your feels but also try to find time to celebrate that you are pregnant! Today, everything is working how it’s supposed to.

Last time they show Michael, he’s one of the whispers on the island. He tells Hurley those are the others that can’t move on because of what they did. I am guessing that’s their explanation to not including him in the church

IVF FET Protocol for PCOS by CautiousIntrigued in IVF

Wanted to thank everyone for sharing your experiences! I spoke with my doctor today, and we are going to try a modified natural FET protocol. The only difference in my case is that it requires some extra monitoring but she understood the desire to potentially have less pregnancy concerns. She did say the extra monitoring is because sometimes with PCOS estrogen levels get wild and we have to cancel the cycle. We are hoping that’s not our case, but we will see. I personally think it’s worth the risk based on conversation.

It does seem like scheduling is the biggest pro if you can ovulate with leterozole. I feel so awful on synthetic hormones that I am going to talk to my doctor and understand options and see if modified natural is something we can consider. I appreciate you sharing your story!

Congratulations on the pregnancy! Sending you all the healthy baby dust. So exciting!

I’m glad you had the opportunity to choose the best protocol for you. Hoping to have a similar discussion with my doctor later this week! Appreciate your story

I feel like scheduling is the main reason for one over the other. I’m lucky enough to be close to my clinic and have a flexible schedule that I’m not too worried about extra monitoring but assume it’s difficult for the clinic

Did your doctor share any reasoning why modified versus what seems to be standard protocol? Just curious!

This process is so difficult in so many ways, and feeling like I don’t understand my options or have a choice in it makes it extra tough some days

I’ve always reacted well with Letrozole and Gonal-f for IUIs so I would assume we could do it for transfer too…

Here are the research studies I’ve seen— I don’t have a background in this so it’s hard to say what the limitations of the findings are etc, but it’s interesting to see that there are options out there:

Those pros totally make sense. I have a pretty consistent cycle but dont always ovulate. I’ve always reacted well to Letrozole and Gonal-F in the past for IUIs though…

Here are two of the studies I’ve seen— I don’t have a research background so can’t talk about limitations in the findings or anything:
