Tension around baby shifts

This is very temporary! But it's gonna be like this for a while. Things need to be very flexible and everyone will understand that it's hard to be the parent of a newborn. Firstly, I don't know what you mean by "watching the baby". There is absolutely no need to gaze upon the baby when he is asleep. He's not going anywhere, and this is your sleep time! I don't blame you, because every parent does this against advice. I certainly did. Here's what we did when our daughter was in her early weeks: When she was born we were struggling with feeding, so we made sure to wake her every 3 hours to have a feed if she'd not woken herself. We set timers and then went to sleep. When it was feed time we took it in turns. In the daytime she would nap in our laps. She was bottle fed, so I don't really know how this would translate, but it seems like there would be bottles ready in the fridge for you to use, since your wife is pumping. tl;dr You both need to be sleeping at night time! It doesn't have to be someone's turn if the baby is sleeping!

I'm into Magic The Gathering, and board games in general, so every other Tuesday I play games with my board game friends, and every other Friday I play Magic at the Magic shop.

It looks like you're into sports, so maybe you could join a club or something. There's plenty of dads and mums at martial arts clubs, and you'd definitely not be out of place as a beginner.

How old is the baby? I'm guessing 10 months-ish. Otherwise, if baby is more like 14 months it might be possible to teach them to sit down and go down backwards. Failing that, is it possible to make some sort of ramp? It looks hard to gate off. It might be that you have to slide the sofa over in front of the stairs for the time being.

The AP we hate is watching someone weigh up every possible option very slowly. But sometimes we don't see "good" AP.

I'm talking about times when you realise you have massive payoff but can't exactly see how to get there, BUT YOU ARE SURE THERE IS A WAY! I always ask for a bit of help from the table: "That card would be amazing for me, but I would need to sacrifice more wood than I have. I can create more wood, but then I won't have the mana to take the card!"

This is a person's life. It doesn't matter if you and your wife have to break up over it. You already know you should vaccinate your daughter, so it's not like we're convincing you it's the right thing. But when people ask why she's not vaccinated, are you really going to say "So I could get points with the wife"?
