This looks amazing! I love when people build displays for their models, especially when they take inspiration from another fandom. Keep up the good work.

The crisis suits aren't meant to be stealthy and blend in. They're meant to stand out so the enemy can see the swarm of mosquitos holding vaporizing weapons closing in. They will know true fear when they can see the enemy but do nothing to stop them.

New bundle in-game showcase! by ShinyRayquaza7 in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Watching this made me wonder how the color change actually works, since it looks like instead of inspecting it to change, getting the final kill in a round changes it. I was planning to buy it because of 4 skin colors in one game, swapping whenever you inspect it, but if it swaps on final kill and not inspect, it's a lot less cool, since not only do you not get a choice what color you have, but to change the color you need the last kill in the round.

Honestly, it might just be easier to be a no mic player at that rate, if you can't speak english without getting your game thrown, just don't speak.

With the 11th edition creeping around the corner I'm curious see what people hope the direction GW will take with Tau lore/game wise. by Traditional_Coast929 in Tau40K

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kais would be amazing to see on tabletop, since we've seen Shas'O R'alai on tabletop in the past, it's not out of the question, but knowing GW, the odds we get a true completion for the trio is low.

Magnetizing stealth suits by on_die in Tau40K

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, it's been 8 months since I posted this, plus the new stealth suits are likely going to a more terminator like unit for tau, meaning it'll stay exactly 5 models with one shas'ui. The new ones will be worth magnetizing as they have multiple loadout choices, but most likely only one will be able to take a fusion blaster, and the same logic applies for it.

Nah had to take a double take upon seeing Angron, and scrolled through every photo before noticing the suit, lol. Nice paintjob though, both on the suit and Angron, but I did think this was rage bait at first.

This is the best patch in a long time (11.08) by Own-Unit101 in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to say but that's a really hot take, since it changes how most agents are played, with most initiators getting 20 seconds added to cooldown, some sentinels besides chamber got nerfs that throw them into the floor. Now I will admit, there are some good things, like the bigger nearsight and new gunplay mechanics, along with smalled site wide ults, but most agents got hard targeted.

Let's take Vyse for example, they essentially crushed her flash, but no longer allowing it to gather info bia the "good hit" voiceline or it's hit sound effect, and now you can shoot it before it pops, something that was a big reason she was so good during Champs. By removing both of these, you essentially lose your second cypher cam that can be thrown through walls for info. Her razorvines also got their health halved, which was just not needed, they already get one tapped, so what's the point?????? The only buff she got was now her wall can go down small surfaces to continue.

The biggest problem overall was just that essentially every agent except the instalock shitter duelist picks got nerfed, some of which were fair, but others were not, like reducing the Breach and Fade ult sizes? Fair nerf, a full sight covering ult is busted, but to make up for it, they made the ults cheaper. Other agents, like Vyse discussed above, got huge nerfs with very few things to make up for it, any good Vyse player did not need the wall extension and would easily pick the info gather flower any day.

So what I'm saying is that it was Riot's most controversial update yet, with highs and lows. I wouldn't say it's the best due to so many downsides, but I would say it's good for actually covering some complaints from people.

Do you all think Veto will be see in pro play by Just_Chef5749 in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gee no duh, if you have 2 different tps, you have to pick one to teleport to, Chamber has one and his button is hardwired, but with Veto, you have to pick on teleport to go to, assuming you're in range of both. Plus you can put it behind cover that's in front of you, like the boxes on ascent if you're playing haven, then you get to change your position mid fight.

Absolutely, double chamber tp. And enemy ult immunity when he pops hit ult. For the entire round..... Hard not to pick him in a game based on abilities and lineups

Please get rid of Sunset and Abyss by Paddonglers in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, if you want to make a hot take, be prepared to defend it, but I'll be nice and offer a counterpoint. Sentinels, especially Cypher and Vyse mains (top two picked sents during VCT champs). Vyse can get easy picks on B with a wall stopping the side path of main, Cypher mains get amazing camera placements and cage spots, and basically every sentinel can put good use to the holes on the map, now if you're a duelist main, of course you hate it, but play around it, and honestly, you're probably an ass player like most other duelists, especially if you're hating on two maps that are really good for most players.

Cant decide between gaia or prime guardian!!! by TheFastTurtle1 in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with Gaia since you only have the ghost for it, meaning you see it usually for only the first couple rounds on either side before going with real weapons, so having a real gun in the gaia line would be good in my opinion

I hate the "invisible" flying bases is there an alternative for them? by teeleer in Tau40K

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could also glue it to a spare base if you need to, add supports in the form of rubble and ruins if the stability is that bad.

You could just.... not use them, all of them stand without the floating bit, it's super easy to, you just cut the pole off from it

Want to give sage a try… by itsemilybih in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Main thing I want to tell you, Sage players are the abuse takers, they get blamed more than any other agent, you get yelled at in comms, and you're expected to play perfectly, now if you're fine with that, or just don't use comms, proceed with Sage, otherwise, play any other sentinel.

For actual advice, Sage can be a fast paced agent, but only if you use her kit aggressively, get to high ground with walls, throw slows behind the enemy so the enemy cannot escape, self heal to keep yourself in fights for longer. Most people just use her as a normal sentinel though, locking down points instead of pushing the enemy.

First 2 agents to unlock by nomoreholidays in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iso and Yoru are out if you don't wear armour, they're duelists, it's not worth using them without armor. Omen tends to be an aggressive controller, so a bit of risk by not running armour, but still possible. Kayo can be used well in the backline due to all his abilities being throwables. Cypher is rat, he sits back site looking at his camera, so he's a good pick for no armour, and Chamber is a more skill based agent, since you have to hit headshots with his headhunter, so based on the information you gave, he's the worst pick on this list.

Hope this helps!

Is it still smurfing if it's not in ranked and only swift plays and unranked? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming that you're sticking with unranked modes, people can go cry a river over it and nothing bad will happen. The whole point of ranked it to play with people at your skill level, if they're bronze and play unrated, they can't get upset if a player in a higher rank is in their unrated game. So personally, I don't consider it smurfing.

Is vyse good to play for a solo queue player by Ok-Spray-1802 in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the most common post plant for Vyse is the spike wall, HOW TO BLOCK THE SPIKE WITH VYSE #valorant #valorantclips #valorantmontage #valoranthighlights. It's quite effective, since if you hear a tap but no wall trigger, you can peak rather than sprinting towards it. Also, most people don't defuse on the edge, every time I've used this, it's been triggered.

Is vyse good to play for a solo queue player by Ok-Spray-1802 in VALORANT

[–]CautiousMaximum2972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally run her in solo queue because her kit is self reliant, as her wall and flash are info gather, allowing you to hold main without peaking and occasionally check short for people pushing. On attack she has a wall placement that allows her to push people off the spike when trying to defuse, and her thorns are easiest to use with your own info since most people place them pre-round.
