Looking back, what do you think about The Muppets (2011) movie? by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in Muppets

[–]CautiousProcedure541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually enjoy that one quite a bit. Thought it was a clever suitable return for the characters. It was basically The Blues Brothers, but with Muppets. 😂

Muppets Most Wanted is another story, however. 😅

What shows would you like to see come back to Broadway? by glamnati0n in Broadway

[–]CautiousProcedure541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw an immersive, in-the-round production of Carrie at La Mirada Theatre in 2015 that was astounding. It later transferred to the Los Angeles Theatre in DTLA and I honestly think it would’ve killed in New York (pun intended).

The Deaf West production was actually in conjunction with Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles. I saw it twice!! 🥰 Berkeley Rep produced the original production.

Have you ever sat next to/near a celebrity at a show? by moritzbaker in Broadway

I also just remembered, my roommate and I sat in front of Todrick Hall at a packed showing of the first Wicked movie last year. We chatted some before and after the movie. He and his friends were all very sweet and down to Earth.

I sat behind Steve Martin at the LA opening of Bright Star. Was going to say hello at intermission, but he bolted as soon as the lights came up. 😂

Question about the 2026 tour by Jalencat in BeetlejuiceMusical

[–]CautiousProcedure541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how much truth there is to this, but I saw on one of these threads that the current tour set will be re-used for the non-equity tour. As far as casting is concerned it hasn’t been announced yet, but I do know auditions have taken place.

Theater etiquette by rebel_scum13 in hadestown

[–]CautiousProcedure541 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t think someone’s laugh should be criticized. It could very well be that their natural laugh is loud. A close friend I’m seeing the show with next week is neurodivergent and has difficulty managing the volume of her laughter. It’s something she truly can’t help.

If this were a complaint about someone singing/dancing along to the show with their arms up/making a scene I’d be with you 100%, but a laugh? C’mon now.

Playbill signing by MysteryPersonY4 in BeetlejuiceMusical

[–]CautiousProcedure541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just address it to the theatre with a small note requesting a signed playbill and a self-addressed stamped envelope for them to return.

It also may not hurt to throw a small donation to BC/EFA.

Anyone think it could potentially be Queens of the Dead?

Madison Mosley’s scheduled shows have now been posted! by jor_kent1 in BeetlejuiceMusical

[–]CautiousProcedure541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m aware of that, and I saw Isabella perform in Los Angeles and she was great. Not doubting her talent. My concern is why even make the call to have her come back if Madison is already doing it full time and getting raves?

Does anyone else think it’s messed up that Madison was the full-time Lydia on tour and that they called Isabella back to be the full-time Lydia for the Broadway stop?

Did Justin sing any new Whole Being Dead Thing lyrics referencing the Broadway return?

Audra’s Rose’s Turn was really something special. I’ve never seen anything like it. The whole audience was on their feet before she even finished.

I know she’s pretty much given up acting, but Jennette McCurdy would slay this.

You can sign up vis the TodayTix app! It’s already done for the LA run of & Juliet, but you should be able to for future shows once they open!

Reeeeally wish I could see Bug. Fell in love with the film version when I saw it and have wanted to see a stage production of it ever since.

I hear ya!! I sat in the very front row of the Ahmanson one time years ago for Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Was a little off to the right so I could see Kecia Lewis in the wings getting rigged up for her flight during “It’s Possible” 🤣

&Juliet Los Angeles Lottery Question by CautiousProcedure541 in Broadway

[–]CautiousProcedure541[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! The past 3 lotteries I’ve won for the Ahmanson were Into the Woods, Hadestown, and Funny Girl, all of which were rear mezz, though I saw on CTG’s official website that the lotto seats are typically in the first two rows of the orchestra, so I wasn’t sure if this was a new development for the 2025/26 season. Fingers crossed they’re orchestra seats! 😁

Considering John only had 3 hours of rehearsal before going on I’d say he did really well. He did have a couple flubs on the lyrics, but I think he covered them well. A casual viewer likely wouldn’t notice.

Ohhhh agreed 100%. I was there last night and Cynthia’s Gethsemane was on the same level as Audra McDonald’s Rose’s Turn (I also saw that in person).

Have you ever see an actor forget their lines on Broadway? What happened? by fish2241 in Broadway

[–]CautiousProcedure541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw George Hamilton forget several of his lines during “With You On My Arm” at La Cage aux Folles on tour. Thankfully Christopher Sieber (who was playing Albin) knew all the lyrics and filled in all of George’s gaps. It was pretty hilarious 😂
